      Me too mate.

Just thinking about that midfield - Thiago, Fabinho and Keita should be the go to midfield for the run in - Absolutely incredible today.

I think the win today may be the pivotal victory for the rest of the season. After the sting of that draw against City, we now put them in their place and we will go on to win the quad.

It's the best squad in the history of the club.  This group of players would wipe the floor with any in our history.  It's an undeniable fact.

it maybe the best squad but it is not a fact that it would wipe the floor at all as it cant be proven it is merely an opinion

      Agree mate

I think I was being diplomatic and not trying to upset the olders lads on here.

But like you I think this squad is the best we've ever had.

Don't be diplomatic. The lads of the 60s, 70s and the 80s were the very best of their peers at the time but these players now are athletes that would destroy them all.

Yup got to agree I saw our best in the 80’s but the fitness and athleticism of this squad is just unbelievable.

It's the best squad most of us have ever seen.

      It beggars belief.

For sure, City weren't at their strongest today but today was a wonderful exhibition onf the brilliance of this squad. It's just a crime the scoreline didn't reflect the utter domination we had over them throughout.

As an "oldie" I can remember us defending a 1 0 lead, especially in Europe, seemingly football was played as a slower pace. I am no expert, but t#e modern game seems to be played at a quicker pace to t#e sixties and seventies.

yes but if the backpass rule was around now would the game be as quick, or if it wasnt around back then would the game be quicker and if the answer is yes then where oes that leave us in the question of this team v our best from the past.....

      see what ive done there

Fair point, still t#ink too many back passes, find quite frustrating, at times ! Great to be in an FA cup final again !

Different era different times, skill level them players had skill to burn , them older players in these times food nutrition etc would be still a hard nut to crack , but agree with you these are an exceptional bunch of players , let’s  just enjoy the ride .

My oldest child was two days old in our last FA Cup Final so hell yes I'm glad to be back there again.

I keep telling all my boys that this is probably going to be their greatest ever experience following Liverpool and I think all of you know it too.

If Liverpool win four trophies this season... can you just imagine.  What could possibly happen next to beat that?

Peak Dalglish and Rush don't get past peak van Dijk and Matip/Konate. No chance. It's a different sport  Mane and Salah would waltz past Hansen and Lawrenson.  It is an uncomfortable truth i admit but football now is light years ahead of football 1990's.

It is light years ahead in every aspect, bar natural ability.

If all players had the same prep in the same facilities with the same diet etc Im certain Kenny and Rushie would have VVD worried abd I know Souness, Molby, Gerrard would boss Hendo Fab Thiago

Absolutely superb day. Not long got home. 10+ hour round trip on the coach but would have happily do it again, even if the journey was twice as long. One of the best days I've ever had. Still hasn't fully sunk in that we've still got an FA Cup final to look forward to either.

That new Klopp song absolutely goes off too. Up the

Question for you (and anyone else who was at Wembley today):  Jürgen mentioned this after the game and I'm wondering, is there any chance that fans at the ground might not have heard an announcement about observing a minute of respect. Seems unlikely to me, but wanted to at least ask.

No it was stated loudly over the PA that they were having a minutes silence. City fans that did it were just being pricks and have found there level with Chelsea.
