its nonsense and incredibly disrespectful of the achievements of Sir Bob. I really dont see your point. Football progresses so this team would have beaten the UTD trebles ide 20-0

I don't think it's disrespectful - just realistic. Even if a time machine transported the 80s Liverpool to the current era and were trained with all the sports science, tactical and technical advances that the current team are blessed with, then they'd still get beaten. The world has become a lot more open and the diversity and type of player available is so far beyond our previous understandings of what great football was.

Possibly the easiest game against the mancs we've ever had. They're utter sh*te, they're is literally nothing in that manc side that resembles a team.

We were absolutely superb and probably could of still scored more. The sight of Nev's and Keane's grids on the screen in the boozer afterwards was a sight to behold.

Thiago has to be MotM. Simply sublime.

Could  as easily give it to Mane, who I thought was F***ing superb again last night.

If the Glazers would F**k off, Eric C. could be manager. Maybe that would change some basic things. For sure, it would be very entertaining.

      Oh F**k off!!

Will be a tougher game than Utd.

That's how bad I think Utd are.

well then you were unlucky not to see Shank's teams or sir Bobs teams who broke all records. This team is just so special and it doesnt need to be compared it stands alone and i am just in awe of Jürgen and his team and winning is just so special

Yep, not comparing eras because I wasn't born during the Shankly and Paisley ones anyways.

It's just unfortunate that we are fighting for the title against  a petro dollar funded cheat code team.

Aside from Istanbul, this was by far the best match I've been at. The team and the crowd were all boss. Was an incredible performance by the players and a boss atmosphere for the players to play in.

The Mancs barely made a sound and then the majority of them fu**ed off at half time...pretty much the same as their team  :D.

      Almost feel sorry for keith

There should not be much tea and sympathy really, and what little there is, kind of you know runs out, when he shows his true colours again...

Fcuking hate the lot! of you

...as that's what you're up against unfortunately.

Those of us with any sort of memory, remember how it felt when we were where they are, and they didn't feel sorry for us back then, so we shouldn't feel any for them now.

      Quote from gazred
9-0 in 2 games and we didn't really need to get out of 2nd gear.

Though most of my life Man U have been the best team in England with fergie. Going into this game I was a bit nervous, I thought they might try to play with some pride and effort after the 5-0. During all their glory years we were always able to give them a game. Their players should be ashamed of themselves. We all hate Man U but I still have some respect for the great teams they have had. This lot are awful, not fit to wear the shirt.

I don't know what to say about this Klopp team, they are the best I've ever seen. Enjoy this time, I can't imagine that it can get any better. Thiago was awesome. The whole team works for each other any walked through this game.

I sat through the ESPN analysis after the game, and you would think we didn't play, because we were never mentioned by their pundits once. It was a 15 minute rant about them, the same one that has dominated every discussion about them for the past 9 years. However, it's our job to demonstrate our superiority against them and get the credit for doing so, not to apologise for it.

The game went as expected. We are one of the best sides in the world, they resemble a pub team. They looked like San Marino and they played like San Marino, rather than the self declared "biggest club in the world". So I knew that as soon as we went ahead it would be a walkover, which it was. It was a great night, and an ideal chance for Mo to shake off the old rustiness, which of course he took. The only disappointment being it wasn't at least 5, but 4 was easily enough to get the job done.
