      https://twitter.com/Watch_LFC/status/1519310422385610753

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Diaz, Salah, Mane.

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Milner, Keita, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Jota, Origi, Matip, Williams, Elliott.

Luis Diaz returns as Liverpool make three changes for tonight’s Champions League semi-final, first-leg clash with Villarreal.

The forward comes back into the Reds’ front three at Anfield, replacing Diogo Jota from the weekend win over Everton.

Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate returns in place of Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson is back in midfield, with Naby Keita dropping to the bench.

Curtis Jones and Kostas Tsimikas are ruled out of the squad by illness, not relating to COVID-19.

Good choice having Konate in against a team likely to sit deep as he is better than Matip at attacking set pieces.

This could be the night when Diaz cuts inside and lets fly right into the far corner. Nearly happened a few time but just hasn't fell right as he cuts inside.

Clever player that he is he doesn't go mad every time he gets the ball, he hardly ever loses possession. He makes these clever timed darting runs into space. Scored a few as result. Watching him very closely tonight.

Thought we might rotate a bit more, even though it is a CL semi. (Is Kostas injured? Not on the bench. He'd have been one I'd have played.)

Very strong line up. Hopefully we win by a couple or it could be nervy next week. Expect us to, even though Emery is obviously a bit of a counter-attacking cup mastermind.

have all my hats and scarfs in the correct place I am very keen to keep winning superstitions in place.
Could be a game were we do enough with a nod to what is to come or we could just go on and try to destroy them tonight.

Sitting deep and attacking on the counter ?
Just might surprise us and do something completely different.
Still put us down to win but think we’ll need to take a 2 goal advantage to their place.
3 would be even better 😊

Think I’d prefer Tiago in there than Hendo. Not saying Hendos any worse at what he does, just different types of player, and Fab does what Hendo does.

Hope the crowd is really up for this. Looked like they were outside.
Let’s go you RED MEN !

I dunno what the F**k is going on but I’m as jumpy as F**k for some reason, unusual for me, normally I’m quite calm but not tonight, F**k knows, 😂,

Lovin that starting X1 I had Naby instead of Super Skip Hendo but I don’t know Jack, apart from that everything else bang on, look this isn’t going to be easy so I hope all you jelly belly’s have been growing your finger nails, as I said in the pre match we need to be taking a two goals advantage into the second leg, for reasons of comfort if nothing else, if we’re on it tonight which I expect us to be then I think we will win the game, Emery will be hoping his side can draw at least and will set to try and achieve that,

These are no mugs having taken care of both Juve & Bayern, however, neither of them press the way we do so it will be interesting how the handle the intensity we bring,

Still think we will reach the final over two legs but I’m hoping we can make it easier when we visit Spain for the second leg.

Of course we welcome back Alby Moreno, once a Red always a Red.

Think Jürgen trusts Hendo to get the pace of the game right when needed he knows when to push and when to hold fast he is a great on field Captain.
