Obviously pens are a bit of a lottery but I think it would be stretching the metaphor too far to suggest that preparation and execution aren't relevant or that how the manager communicates and interacts with the players in moments of high stress couldn't possibly affect the outcome.

Managed to get a ticket to the game on Saturday morning which was unexpected. Was great to see us finally lift this trophy again after so long without it.

It was as expected really, we tend to struggle a bit against the Chavs due to the way they set up, it's no coincedance that we always struggle against that set up, regardless of who plays it, it's probably the one we find it hardest to break down. But we had plenty of chances and we were unlucky not to score.

Diaz was on it again, he's some player! Thought Trent had a really good game too though, think he defended well.

Pulisic only plays well a few times a season and it always seems to be against us!

Another penalty shoot out win over them and each time we've had a different keeper, so that's not a bad little stat.

your never tired when you win a game of football  and when they give you a cup at the end of it then they would want to play the next day.
Mentally they would be tired if they lost but 3 games to immortality .

We never do things the easy way, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

      These lads are fantastic.

I watched "Manager Cam" this morning how old is Jürgen? still got a good first 10 yards in him slows down after that when he realises his age.
Spent most of yesterday trawling Youtube for stuff and there is so much to enjoy. Catch the girl in the Anfield Hotel who loves Kostas.
Its quite reassuring to watch these to learn you are not the only nutter in this world when we score the reactions are similar from people all over the world.

Trent drinking a red bull as the teams walk out.

Wouldn’t have thought the nutritionists are advising that these days

      Quote from Klopps Snood
Wow, we really don't do things the easy way do we. but then again we are LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB and we win things the difficult way which makes it far more exciting  :D

This could be the greatest season ever with the best  team we've ever seen, they certainly deserve all the praise and plaudits coming their way.

Congratulations LFC, so proud to be a RED :kop5cf8koxp6: :scarf:  :kop5cf8koxp6::kop5cf8koxp6: :scarf: :kop5cf8koxp6: :scarf:

We have done things the easy way, multiple times. In fact, we probably do it more often than the hard way nowadays. We can win the hard way if we have to, but not so much these days.

Obviously with a German in charge, we're not going to miss many penalties in a shoot out, so I have no worries about them. Two penalties were missed in the three shootouts we've had this season, the rest were all scored. Kostas must have watched the Alan Kennedy technique in Rome, because it was almost identical.

The press analysis was odd afterwards. It varied from some saying it was a wonderful final to others complaining that it was a poor game. They must only have remembered the slight drop off in extra time, as what was before it was another classic end to end final.

It's 10 years since we played in the last final, and 30 years since we last won it in that stadium, as unrecognisable as it is from back then. So it's great to finally bring the cup back home, now we have some more to go and win as well.
