This match was the "didn't play out best but got the result" type of game which you need throughout the season.

Though Tsimikas has had a a lot of great showing when called upon was poor this evening.

Hopefully Fabinho injury is not too serious. Would be a cruel blow for us going into the final run

Jürgen says Fab is "positive" about the injury post-match, but I suspect the manager is going to play this very safe and save Fab for the Champions League final. Jürgen does not take chances with players' long-term health.

First off Get the fuckkkkkinnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnn

      Massive 3 points.

To go behind that early, they had the crowd buzzing and then we equalize a few mins later, just deflated them.

Thank f**k for Luis' brilliant cross and Sadio's sublime placement of his header. Cracking goal that.

One player gets a special mention from me and not in a good way, but he wasn't on our Team.

F***ing Danny Ings...was doing everything he could to f**k us over. Tried everything to score a goal. Sucked in the one you did get in the back of the net, was way offside. Always loved Danny but you're dead to me now fella!!!

Bet you he won't play coz he's injured or he will be totally invisible during their game against City!!!

Karma can be a strange thing and sometimes you have to wait for it to catch up and maybe Villa can do Stevie a favour so we still have hope.

Very important win in that we couldn't let our challenge just peter out. Take it to the limit - one more time.

The Boss had us fully tuned in metality wise.

P.S.  few empty seats starting to appear in stadiums here and there...Bojo in the frame yet again.

Just has to be offside their goal I'm afraid. Var should be pulling that back because we never recovered.

We were punished by Alisson saving it, needs sorting that.

The linesman didn't put his flag up as he didn't think it was offside. VAR can't go back that far because there was a new phase of play after it, so the goal is therefore valid.

It instantly reminds me of the Keita goal we scored at the 3-1 win at Southampton in 2019, when Salah was offside in the build up.

      Quote from JD
Better team won.  Expected it to be tight.  Bit late in the season for a 7 pointer in the Prediction League to help me but I'll take it.

Hopefully the Fabinho injury isn't too serious and the lads get some quality rest now before the FA Cup Final.

Good win, great recovery job after the early goal conceded. I don't think I've ever seen a player complaining to the referee after he's scored, but Matip was different. I don't think it was to wish him a long and happy retirement.
