With their state run oil money this will happen again and again and again. We did very well to finish just one point behind them. They are simply untouchable to corrupt FFP. Bribery at the extreme level.

Newcastle will be there in 3 or 4 years too

      Klopp says Thiago doesn’t look good….. f**k 😢

That's the worst news, it's a hammy so incredibly unlikely he can recover in time. That's a massive blow for Saturday. I just hope Fab is fit and ready to play otherwise it's Milly or Jones in the starting line-up.

How many times in history has a team scored 92 (or more) points and not won the title?

Puts the emphasis on Keita next week.

      He simply HAS to perform

how much in reality would UTD need to spend to compete now over £billion. you need a complete squad overhaul and Chelsea will not be far behind when they lose Rudigger and Christienson they alone will be £150-£200mil to replace. Meanwhile Maureen is sniffing around Newcastle and he knows how to spend money

I couldn’t give a number Walt it’s  frightening to think just how much it will take. We need least 5 players ( arguably more ) and changes behind the scenes. I know 500 million wouldn’t win us the league as we’re simply to far behind you lot! and City.

Think Chavs will go backwards next year no matter what happens in transfer market.

Newcastle will obviously strengthen and possibly top 6 with new additions in the summer. Mourinho will be at Porto one more year. In my opinion he will join them in the summer of next year. Think I’ll check the odds on that one.  ;D

We had to get 99 points to win the title. 3 draws, 3 defeats.

Even 97 wasn't enough one year. (7 draws 1 defeats). Unbelievable. SMH

Massive blow Thiago injury. If Fabinho not match fit then RM will have a field day. So narrowly missed out on Premier League. Just can't bear to see missing out on Champions League.

Utd won it with about 76 and nowhere near it on many occasions

Thiago will be a BIG loss.

But think Milner has actually done pretty well in midfield in the last few weeks.

Reckon will be Hendo/Milly/Keita to start, assuming Feb doesn't make first XI.

think Fab will be ok so Hendo,Naby and Fab seems ok for me if Thiago is definitely out.

Twice now in the last few years think we've got > 90 points and come one point behind Citeh.  The other being 96 to their 97 I think.

Gutted after that. Still, you come into the season, you know who you need to finish ahead of, and what that will take.

Yep, if Fab ready, he takes Millys spot.
      With Hendo and Keita.

Not sure who of Elliot/Jones is ahead in Jurgens pecking order, Elliot has looked good recently, but think Jones has more recent game time. Could be wrong there. Depends on whats happening in the game too possibly.

Thiago been our savior this season. Him being out next week is freaking sh*t. But the show goes on. Really hope Fab gets back. Perhaps you see a 4-2-3-1 next weekend at some point if Fab is back.

Gutted for Thiago. If he doesn't play next week that's 2 finals he will have suffered a injury right before.

can you see this team getting any better they are clearly just superb and its hard to see how we can improve so we also need UTD,Chelsea,Spurs, and others to take points of City

I expected us & city to both win today it was just the  manner in which city won that hurts the most But I’ll be fu**ed if I’d let them oil soaked plastic fuckers take the shine off of what has been another  remarkable season for us & it ain’t over yet , we will be lifting that sexy as F**k European cup on Saturday & as far as I’m concerned those bent fuckers & there manager get zero respect from me.

I think Thiago has the experience to feel when a hamstring is starting to feel twitchy and came off to be on the safe side ,He really has to play in the CL cup final alongside Fabinho and Hendo even if its for half an hour . Naby again went missing today again and for me, we need to be looking at a replacement ,I just don't think he's consistent enough .Alisson showing his skills again ,nothing flash ,just great keeping !Great season by the lads which they deserve everything they achieve

we beat Southampton away and Wolves at home with such a change in team formation what a manager Jürgen is whilst the media just love Pepe its clear Jürgen is by far the most complete all round manager . Boy these next 4 years are going to be a blast

And at no point today were we actually on top of the league.  That would have been more ball-busting.

Yep, we never quite had our hands on it. There was the sinking feeling that they could mess up and we wouldn’t be able to take advantage. It’s been a weird day. I never had much hope meself but obviously when Coutinho scored you thought sh*t this could actually happen.

I’m more pissed about the Thiago injury right now, he’ll be a huge miss in Paris assuming he doesn’t make it.

True. Also we drew every game we had against the other top4 teams.   Probably improve that stat if we can somehow.
