Any striker worth their salt and we'd have at least 2 in that first 30. As good as our players are it needs to be a perfect build up and goal to score, we don't have that just 'hit it on instinct' type striker.

Tbh I think our front three have been decent all season.
But our midfield offers zero goal threat.
I though keita would be that player but he’s been pretty disappointing since he came really.

These days if you don't win either League or UCL, you haven't done well.

Well we got mugged in Paris. We were the better team, but Courtois put in a MOTM performance at one end, and we went to sleep and gifted them a really soft goal at the other. Very frustrating cos that is not a great RM side, they were sluggish and unambitious in their play throughout the game. Thought that Ancelotti thought he was still managing Everton with those tactics. But they hung in and defended well and then hit us with a sucker punch.

Don't agree with those moaning about our players. We played pretty well, better than them. Mo was a bit off it, as he has been since Afcon, but still produced a beautiful touch and strike that Courtois pulled off another great save to stop. Diaz was very well defended by their right back. Mane was very good, especially first half. Our midfield bossed the possession. But if you doze off once at the back it can cost you, and that's what happened.

Don't agree with those moaning about our players. We played pretty well, better than them.

We were the better team no doubt, just looked like a game too far for us to play our normal football.  We didn't smother them.  We've faced defensive teams before and overcome them but we just looked a bit lacking in that extra gear in the final third.

Was always worried about this with Mo being off form for weeks now. Knew he would start and be similar today.
Diaz didn’t create too much, mane run his nuts off but wasn’t at his best. Our crossing was piss poor, as was our transition. Far to slow  so always playing into a packed box.
Think we had a lot of fatigue out there today which didn’t help. Long long season playing every game possible.
Has that happened before ?

We didn’t play like we can, but still proud of them all.

So a deserved break and on to next season. Can’t wait !

A good game from us. We were the better team, had more chances, Real just had one - and made the goal. Salah finally proved to even the blind that he is not worth absolute top money (as well as Mané). Right now I do not see anything to blame. Next 2022/23 and we go again!

I really thought we were going to put on a show tonight but we did go through the motions a bit first half and second half we just looked confused that they were still in the game. No criticism of Jürgen or the boys we came up short after a long long season.
At least the Blue sh*te and the Mancs will have something from this season now

Konate was brilliant. It’s insane how good he is at his age. If he can just improve his positioning a bit more and cut out the small errors and lapses in concentration, he can go on to be the best in the world. He has insane physical attributes and is very good on the ball, plus he can score goals. Love him.

Glad we won the domestic cups. Fanstastic to finish the league with 92 points. No shame in losing in European finals either.

But next season we can’t allow Man City to race into a 14 point lead. The energy and determination we used to chase them back meant the last few weeks we were running of empty.
