I'd like to keep him mate. He's a quality player and made vital contributions last season ... without him we may have ended up with no trophies.

It is a hard situation for us to convince him to stay, even when he see the departure of Mane that it could be opportunity to climb the depth charts he gets pushed back down with the inpending purchase of Nunez.

Also as far as value standpoint it would be out best opportunity to get the most for him on the back of a good season despite very limited playing time.

      I still don't get it.

I understand some of the fringe players wanting to get some game time, but why on earth would you want to be anywhere else but this Club, with this Manager?

Is this not gonna keep happening now though with any of our top players as their contracts are coming to an end 😬...if Sadio is gonna earn that much at Bayern ,Salah will deffo walk for free next year and get huge money elsewhere
We'll probably have to up that wage structure at some point.

Conor Bradley has completed a loan move to Bolton Wanderers.
With Ramsay's arrival, it's a move that makes sense. He showed encouraging signs the few times he played last season, but it was clear he's still very 'raw'. He'll hopefully get some decent experience in League One and come back a more mature player.

He's only 18, so it makes sense. And it's probably better for him to go to a decent League One side where he'll get a chance to play, and not be on the losing side every week, rather than "suffering" every week in the Championship.

Good luck to Taki. Hopefully Gordon takes his spot as 7th option up front and can get the early cup games and random league game Taki would have gotten.

Fair point, but not every player is the same. And different positions require different skill sets and physical attributes. There's a reason most of the teenagers breaking through are attacking players (not all, but most). Defenders usually requires a bit more time to be ready.

For some of them, eg Taki, it's understandable. He's 27 (I think) and hardly getting a kick, so it's not about the money, it's about playing. Ditto Origi, Neco and Philips. Hope we don't lose Gomez over it too.

Ian Evatt a no nonsense CB in his day and a no nonsense manager as well. Will be good for the lad to get some real football under his belt before he tries to find himself a permanent deal higher up the ladder.

Yup, they are first and foremost football players. It's a job, but also a passion for most, so sitting on the bench cannot be pleasant or rewarding, even if it's 'the best club in the world' bench.
Most of these guys don't really have a special affection for the club, it's just an employer for them.

      Quote from CT_LFC
Hopefully he’s ok with a loan but he’s too good for just cup competitions and he knows if we go out early in them like we’ve mostly done then his season is down to the bench. Players want to play not ride the bench and you can only keep them so long before they want to move. He has a career to worry about and Alisson is going nowhere for a long time. Kelleher’s future just isn’t here.

The Allison factor is less likely an issue than his international career. Atm, he's number one for his country, because his main rival for it has been injured. But his rivals for the place are both likely to be playing first team football in the EPL next season, and if they do, he will be under even more pressure than he already is to leave us, to try and keep his place at international level.

We have this issue every summer. He says he wants to talk about it again. But he has to decide what does he want, more game time or more medals won? Because apart from the League Cup here, it's one or the other for him, not both.

Migs left the week before the season started when he did. 5 days later, Allison got injured against Norwich and was out for 2 months. That's the way it goes.

The time frame here is wonderfully fu**ed up and completely wrong too.

Who replaced Mignolet, as it wasn't Ali was it?
      That would of been Karius!!

      So you're wrong, again!!
