Darwin Núñez Player Thread (F)

I love it too, exactly what this team needs, a nutter, been far too ‘nice guy’ team for a bit now, need a bit of grit.

Think Nunez will start off from the bench, against our noisy neighbours, it would certainly be acceptable if he had a go at Pickford, probably earning himself the nick name of Nunez the nutter. It is about time Pickford was taken down a peg or two !

He needs a quiet game (from a disciplinary POV anyway). The last thing we want is for him to get a bad reputation early in his career with us. He'll forever be a marked man otherwise.

A Merseyside derby would test the discipline of the Dalai Lama! I always think, if I could kick a ball and was thrown in that situation how would I react? Fight or flight - there's not a big operating space between those two options like other matches!

With the way we are playing you would have to be mad not to play him it’s a no brainier, just look at the difference he makes to Salahs game. So he lost his temper hopefully he has learnt otherwise we won’t never play him

VAR has already made it so you're not even sure when to celebrate a goal.

players usually tell refs "f*ck off" all the time and they never get investigated for that.

Reminded me when Rooney got a two games for cursing at the camera after scoring a hattrick. Game is emotional which why people enjoy it, just seems a bit silly

Very excited to see him come off the bench tomorrow. I like that he’s a bit nutty. Mane was a bit crazy and Nunez seems like a good replacement in that regard.

Exactly. The abuse hurled at referees (much of it justified mind you) makes what Nunez did look like child's play.
