That just isn’t funny

Will back this kid till he throwing hat tricks down our throats.

Love his work ethic and his initiative with his run.

However, he is driving me mad with the offside runs and especially getting annoyed at players not playing the pass when he is clearly offside.

Think he will come good and bet the players love him in the team busting a gut and making things happen, just want to see him hold his run a tad longer.

But we know he's gonna be a World Beater when it all clicks.

I mean, he’s creating chances and yes he’s missing some but he works his ass off and he terrorizes defenses and he’s always looking to setup his teammates. I think we should be patient with him.

Remember someone on this forum saying Suarez was a "scorer of great goals, not a great goalscorer" because he had this period when he was snapping at chances and just generally being unlucky as F**k. The season after he was scoring a goal per game and nearly led us to a league title.

Not comparing the two players - Suarez was more complete from the get go - but just the circumstances. Think Darwin will be fine, eventually.

Might be missing the net, but hes defo a nuisance at all times to the opposition and you can tell they have no idea what to do with him, he’s a pure enigma.

He should trust his instinct. When he shoots without thinking, his shots are powerful and dangerous.

He should not take too much touches because he's not good at it.

All well and good being a nuisance but currently we’ve only got one regular scorer in the form of Salah in the team so sooner or later Darwin’s going to need to find the net more regularly or it will cost us games and points.

It’s clear he’s an exciting player with a high ceiling but for the fee he paid and the fact he arrived at the time we lost Mane I would have expected someone a bit closer to the finished article.

Hopefully it comes together for him in the second half of the season.

Only 3rd full season in a top league never really going to be finished article . Some many positives which outweigh the negatives the finishing will come and at least he is getting into the positions probably more than any other

Sometimes he's a good metre or so behind the last defender expecting to receive the ball. 

If Nunez starts finishing his chances he will be unstoppable

I saw 3 or 4 runs he made which the midfield or defender did not pick up early on and as game went on think he got frustrated  which led to going too early. Still getting used to him it will come

His xG stats are crazy.

I would much rather have a striker that is missing most of the many  chances he's getting for himself than have a striker that takes the only chance they get.
He has something in his brain that just lets him know where to be and where to run and tie that with his size strength and most importantly speed he is a menace.
I think he'll get 15-20 for us in all comps this year then explode next year.

I think he's similar to Salah. Mo has always had a poor record of converting changes in front of goal, he's improved but he's always missed a lot of "easy" goal scoring opportunities, especially when he first arrived at the club. Darwin can improve, he's still inexperienced and needs practice in high pressure situations.

TBH I'm not worried about Darwin one little bit. He'll come good and He'll soon be scoring 20+ goals a season for us.

I'm with Trebor 12 - I really am not concerned with his lack of goals, HE will come good, I just know he will as he's getting into those positions to be in the right place at the right time. he just needs a bit of luck and he'll be smashing them in left right and centre...didn't Peter Crouch go through a similar lean spell? As most forwards do.

Just as a comparison, similar, or higher, transfer fees and/or similar positions played in their teams.

Jesus has scored 5 league goals for Arsenal, the same as Nunez. (And only scored 8 goals in the whole of last season for City)

Grealish has only scored 4 league goals in a full season and a half for City. Mahrez has only scored 1 league goal this season.

Antony has only scored 3 league goals for Man Utd this season.

Son for Spurs has only 3 league goals this season.

Aubamayang and Havertz have 1 and 4 league goals respectively for Chelsea.

Why is Nunez getting all the sh*t?  Price tag. And as always a Liverpool storyline gets clicks!!
