the goals he scores will not be in addition to the 90 they can only put 11 players on the pitch and if you start of with a defeatist attitude its going to be a long season I very much doubt Ferguson would start the season thinking he couldn't beat City.

Sad as it may sound Walt I’m backing the cnuts to score over 100 goals when I see the prices for it. Hoping it’s at least 3/1  ;D

why bother turning up if you feel you are beaten before a ball is kicked what sort of attitude is that and how far expectations have fallen for a once successful club.
I fully expect us to win every game and start every game with this attitude I know Jürgen has this attitude if Den haag hasnt he will fail.

Well I’d be delusional if I said we could win the league or even finish in top two next year. I’m a realist not a fantasist.

      Quote from FATKOPITE10
Biggest issue for me is the ridiculous 6 week interruption

It's not as big an issue, as having the AFCON in January, which affects us more than other clubs.

For the fourth year in a row, we got the winner of the Championship, as our first game. It seems to be a tradition nowadays. So I'm sure Mo will fancy adding to his records on the opening day. But one tradition is that we are away in the last game when rebuilding our home so that it's ready for the following season. It's a trek to Southampton but it could have been worse I suppose.

Getting the trips to the biggest away games out of the way early is great, should we win them. If we don't, we're going to lose ground in the race early on. Maybe not 14 points but enough for people to write us off again by the end of September. This time we want to stay in the race all year round.

One thing that gets to me is all the kos announced as, Saturday at 3pm. At least 30 of our games are going to have their ko time changed, 36 kos were changed 2 seasons ago. Everyone knows that we're not playing City at 3pm on a Saturday or the other big games. That's before you consider the likelihood of cup date postponements for league games such as Fulham at home in mid March or for League Cup Finals etc, so why lie? Just state a general window for games to be played e.g. 26/27/28 December v Villa (a), until the ko time is confirmed.
