Kevin Friend announced his retirement, following in the footsteps of Mike Dean, Jon Moss and Martin Atkinson.

I can't say I'll miss any of them.

It seems the FA is now rueing the lack of experienced referees, but experienced doesn't mean competent... Some younger, modern referees will be most welcome.

Interesting from a City perspective if that is the case.

They would have lost Jesus and Sterling and replaced with Haaland and Alvarez. Haaland we all know, but they must be big on Alvarez.

Alvarez is a CF too isn't he? so they'd have replaced a CF and a wide forward with 2 central players.

oh maybe, i truly don't know much about him, but yes, good observation about replacing wide forwards with central players.

Also seen rumors of B. Silva looking to move on, though they may be just BS.

Fernandinho, Jesus and Sterling already. That's 3 tried and tested players for them.

Would be a big loss for them, he was a key player for them last season. Fingers crossed (though highly doubtful it would happen)

Interesting to see that Chelsea’s answer to closing the gap to City at the top seems to be buying two City players that Pep didn’t fancy anymore for 100m.

It’s typical Chelsea to be honest. Not interested in trying to develop a player so just sell him and then have to pay more than they got to re-sign him.
Sold Lukaku for about 20mill and then paid 100mill to bring him back.
Sold Ake for around 20mill and paying over 40 to get him back.

Anyone else in the ballot for this year’s home games? Waiting patiently to find out if I have the opportunity to get a ticket, results are today I think.
