Aye. City have been on it since the start. Should be more. That's the only positive for WH.

Whilst it's one there is a chance. They look scared of city. City win by 3 or 4 I think. Togh opener on paper. But making it look easy.

Not watching but I'm guessing yet again a side just rolls over for City.

These sides always seem to up their game for us but roll over for City

Still think we have a good enough team competing against City, when comparing our defence, keeper, and forwards. Its about even. However their midfield is still a few levels above us - I just hope we won't regret not trying to strengthen that area this summer.

I think it is a problem so many just dont try for fear of taking a beating but they always seem to turn up against us.
Still think the Transfer of Haaland is dodgy and close to £30mil a season with bonuses who can compete with this

You can look at it that way mate. I look at it this way. City don't throw in horror shows like we put in yesterday.

Are we good enough to go and totally dominate West ham at home and give them nothing ... as City have done today?

For me ... no. And my reason is their midfield. We have too many bad spells in too many games.

So you can look at it as these teams 'roll over' for City and put a fight up against us. The reality is we make too many mistakes ... too many lapses ... trent being a big culprit.

We've a good team no doubt. It's fine margins. Their midfield and the options they have, creativity, goals, pace, vision, power and discipline ... ball retention ... they control games. That's the difference for me.

Got 3 titles. If we didn't toss points away with sloppy mistakes, poor control of matches when in the lead ... maybe it would be different. As I said ... fine margins.

Kdb, gundogan, silva etc are going to dominate games and provide the bullets for haaland and whatever 2 they put with him.

They will win alot of games comfortably. Every game for us seems to be alive going into the final stages.

Not knocking the lads. But there is a need to improve.

I'm thinking 30 wins , 5 draws and 2 defeats is the minimum needed for a chance at the title. 4 draws now.

Absolute stroll in the park for City in what looked a tough game.

25% possession, 1 shot and one corner in 95 minutes.

Total control. Total domination. Comfortable 3 points.

Even if they pick up 3 or 4 knocks, They'll take some stopping.

Premier league underway ... the expected horses already looking strong. Roll on Palace.

He still had a couple of good chances last week. Could have had 2 at least ... with only 20 touches. Once he gets up to speed he's going to be very dangerous.

Yes he will make hey against the lesser teams ... flat track bully if you will. But at 22 he's shown what he can do and he'll only get better.

Darwin is going to do great for us. Looking forward to watching him next game.

Any club apart from us and City looking to appoint a new manager this season would be well to keep Graham Potter in mind instead of looking at the usual big name retired players like Gerrard, Lampard, Arteta et al.

Agree completely. He's the one name that crops up regularly in my mind as to who I think could / should replace Jürgen in a few years time. He's had to sell some bloody good players the last couple of years at Brighton but he's continued to maintain and improve their experiences in this league. Sign of a fantastic manager - There have been plenty of one season wonders who have had a good season and then their best players get sold and suddenly they find themselves in free fall. Potter's never allowed that to happen.
