We had a Welsh international who we'd invested in as backup to trent. He was sold for 17m in a books balancing exercise and replaced by a raw kid with no experience ...

No issue letting Williams go ... but you'd think we'd get a better player than Williams in ... but no ... we got a kid and banked 12m.

Yep, don't begrudge Neco wanting away but I think he would have been playing quite regularly at RB, with the form Trent is in at the moment.

I think Conor Bradley is a better option for right back.

Maybe right about that. Doing well on loan.

If Jürgen won't play Ramsey there, he's not going to play Bradley either.

If he wasn't brought in for first team football why didn't we loan him out somewhere? I don't think it does a 19 year old much good to be not getting out onto the pitch regularly - at that age Trent had broken through into the first team and someone like Reece James was out playing a season of regular Championship football with Wigan.

      Stop making sh*t up

Williams left because he wanted to play first team football regularly because there was a World Cup coming up

The club then replaced him with a young bright up coming talent who clearly has a lot of ability

Stop crying on about balancing the books

Do you play too much fantasy football ? Let me know which right back that’s better than Williams is going to come in and be happy sitting on the bench knowing that Klopp will play TAA week in week out when fit

Surely you can see Trent can't defend for sh*t!

Bacjetic come in for an under performing Fab

Why not get a rocket up Trent's arse and let him realize, he has younger competition compared to thinking he only has to compete for his spot with a 37 year old!!!

That’s down to Klopp at the end of the day

The kid has apparently picked up another injury, and apparently this one is long term. Seems like a good kid, but also seems weaker than pond water atm.

This is the 3rd different injury this season for him

Klopp confirms Ramsay out for season after surgery.. I thought this was for a sports hernia but the pic looks like maybe a knee.  Klopp says he needs to be built up physically prior to the summer:s preseason.

Disaster of a season for him. A whole season of pretty much nothing is not great at his age.

Hopefully he comes back stronger but personally I think it's a position we need to do some business in this summer.

Reading that Preston want him on loan. I'd be down for that if we bring in a versatile defender. Kid needs to regular playing time. Obviously, he didn't play much last year

what is it with some people and young players ffs give them a break they need time and some need more time than other Stevie G had problems early in his career no doubt the same people would have had him out the club too. Same for young Harvey is nowhere near the finished article and young enough to be anything he wants just yet.

Klopp said its better to get Injuries fixed\sorted when younger, got his whole career ahead of him now.

I think we will be more of 3-4-3 going forward now, trent mostly in MF, but roaming. Just means robbo is sitting deeper more often now :(

Yea. Ideal if he gets a starting position regular.
