Manchester City 1-3 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Jul 30, 2022 01:59:45 pm
We probably should have a separate thread from the general pre-season thread.

I fully expect the reds to treat it like a friendly, made more obvious by the fact we have another pre-season game in 24 hours at Anfield.

For City, this is their last game before the start of the season so there will be no rested players on their side.

We need to beat these right from the off. Send out a message. Never ever lose to them. Ever. Can't give them an inch.

      Totally agree.

I never see this fixture as a pre-season one personally, it's still a trophy that we count in the history books, so let's get it.

A separate thread from the seasons start. That’ll do me.
Now we just need to get it all together and get a result.
Anf when/if we go ahead, ffs keep the press on snd don’t invite them to come st us by dropping back.

Be nice to see VVD nullify haaland as well 😂
See Jürgen calling fo a bit more intensity and aggression so let’s do it !

Have to admit, I'm looking forward to seeing how Haaland does. That's if Virg gives him a kick.

I’m pretty sure Klopp wouldn’t be to upset losing a pre season friendly  ;D even though it’s against their rivals for the league.

The Caveman, the Blob or Frankenstein. Call him what you will, I'll like to see him start. They have more less put all their eggs in one basket and if he cracks the yoke will be on them.

As it happens I think he'll do Ok. Might take a game or three. He's not a mystery false No.9. He's an in yer face direct threat. He's agressive and we need to match that.

Think he said the other day, if you win it then people are happy but if you lose it then nobody cares about it.

For me, it would be nice to win the Shield because then we would have won everything under Klopp. However, I would prefer to win the game just because it's against City and whether it's during the actual season or not, I always want to see us beat them - just doesn't really need a glorified plate to go with it. If we lose it's not really a big deal, it would be a bit annoying because like I said, it's against City.

I think the City fans and Pep are are probably more bothered about the Shield than us.

Haaland will score bags of goals for city and make them even more formidable.

I'm sure Virg will be sticking close to him today and hopefully as you say gets abit physical with him and let's him know.

As for the team ... Adrian , trent vvd konate Robbo fab thiago hendo Diaz Bobby and Mo

      MU.0-AM-1..Fredd off.

I mean we are involved in so many bigGGG..games this is a bit run of the mill for us. City have deposed United and LFC V MC is now the biggest fixture. This season will be no different. Good luck in the Thursday league by the way.
