Carvalho and Elliott were full of confidence and looked good when they came on, think that’s gone a bit unnoticed.

      Hopefully no injuries picked up.

      Darwin off the mark ...

Overall a really good performance and deserved victory.

That's a full house for Jürgen. Now let's try and double up on that :-)

As for haaland. He will score plenty for them ... especially against the lesser teams. Deffo will be a flat track bully.

It's the pace that will frighten teams..I said scorched earth but it's so difficult to stop. Pace is a serious weapon in this game. Does it mean much, probably no more than an indication but Nunez, he's a live wire..

Will also be a good distraction for the wide players to get more space hopefully.

must admit to really being happy to seeing a target man again

Hes a worry if he plays Adrian but always makes me smile he was training on his own in a field in Spain and since then he has played his part in some big games for the club.

Another medal for him today, I bet he loves LFC.

Enjoyed that. Nunez is not a player who plays 80% or a friendly type player. He's gunner take some stopping. Imagine a European night at Anfield...Nunez will not only shake the kop...he'll put the sh*ts up them..

he lacks matches but he seems to be a big part of the squad and he was our only option again so good on him has a good record in finals

Can't really call out Haaland..take the piss yeah but he looks like when City get used to him he will score. But teams will negate him. Might need 2/3 chances to score. He looked a bit dozy and I thought it was a mistake to start him. But City don't go away.

Bad losers though..didn't pick up their medals...don't disrespect the game Pep..

Don Hutchison says penalty should not have been given, but also says team thoroughly deserved the win. He credits the midfield three of Fabinho, Thiago and Henderson/Elliott.
