Fulham 2-2 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Aug 06, 2022 11:30:27 am

Craven Cottage waiting to host the Mighty Reds

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Diaz, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Milner, Elliott, Nunez, Carvalho, Bajcetic, Van den berg, Chambers.

Alisson Becker returns in goal as Liverpool make one change for today’s Premier League opener at Fulham.

The Brazilian is named in the Reds XI at Craven Cottage after recovering from injury as Jürgen Klopp makes one alteration to the line-up deployed in last weekend’s Community Shield victory over Manchester City.

Our bench is a little unknown package or 'not'. Elliott, Carvalho and Darwin can change the game.

      Come on Reds.

Think it should be Nunez ahead of Bobby on the back of the City game.

The bench is a bit concerning with Adrian, Berg, Chambers and Baj. Need to get our players back from injury sooner rather than later, hopefully we have some luck on that front.

Another season, another day. 0:4 to the red men.

Solid starting 11 and decent bench.
If we’re not ahead by half time, there’s 3 on the bench who can turn it around.
      Very confident about this one.
Think Fulham will come out all guns blazing, but we will be too strong for them. Going back to the city game, I think our lazy starts are a thing of the past.

Feel like the bench only looks weak because of the increase from 7 to 9. Most teams will have a few young players to fill their matchday squad on regualr basis. Got enough able bodies to cover all the positions if needed and if we are in comfortable positive make Klopp willing to throw on like Bajcitic to get some minutes.

Was there not 9 on the bench last season too? Or was that just CL?

Great work Clint. You are in mid-season form already. Let's hope the Reds follow suit.

There were 9 last season. The amount of subs actually made is what has changed.

I, like Jürgen has faith in all of our players, the fact Jürgen is comfortable naming Van Berg, Chambers & Bajcetic on the bench and have obviously done so on their own merit is deserving, not sure any will see game time tbf, whatever happens for them it’s a learning curve at least.

Keita must have covid again ... missed the city game due to illness ... not available this week. Frustrating.

Not the strongest of benches but that first 11 plus the likes of nunez should be enough to get the 3 points. Let's go.
