Further updates on Injuries.

The travelling party includes Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Naby Keita and Arthur Melo, who will continue to work on their individual rehabilitation programmes from their respective injuries.

Diaz just about there. Naby & Melo I think are getting close to being fit again (I think)

Tear of the lateral collateral ligament in his knee (not sure which knee). One article said mid March but I can't imagine anyone really knows before the surgery.

Bobby, Mo and Darwin the default front three for the next few months. The schedule requires depth for the rest of this season. We don't really have it up front.

Decision to let 3 attackers go and only sign 1 last summer looks a bit silly now.

Jürgen says afterward it looks like "we got lucky" with the knock to Harvey. So I take it he will not have to miss much, if any, training.

Some will say it’s bad luck but I’m not convinced, don’t see other clubs with the amount of injuries we pick up apart from that 1 year, so more likely that was the lucky year.

Jota, Diaz, Konate and Jones injured players allowed to go back into training only to be injured again - yeah definitely bad luck 🙄

There are just some years where clubs get more injuries than other years.

I seem to remember a shocker of season under Rafa & Brendan for Injuries.

We were lucky the year we won the league and last year hardly any injuries. or they were all short term injuries.

Really bad news all these injuries, especially losing Diaz and Jota. Really weakens the forward line up.

It's serving to lower my expectations for the rest of the season, especially with how crowded the schedule will be. We'll be capable enough on a given day, but not.sure our depth is sufficient for the week-in, week-out grind.

This is disastrous news. Diaz could easily be out till March. Need to act decisively and sign somebody either on a loan deal or pay the feckin' money.

So another injury to either Salah, Bobby or Darwin and we are screwed.
