Think we've all been looking forward to Doak starting. I would go:

      Ali
      Milner, Gomez,Phillips.Robbo
      Trent, Hendo, Fabinho.
      Doak, Mo, Darwin.

Had my fill of Trent's defending. It's an old chestnut but I want to see if he can play in Mid closer to Doak & Mo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Matip been back on the bench the last 2 games?

We need a lot man. A team Doctor, a sporting director, and about 6-8 new faces in the squad next year.

Injuries have to be down to something we're not doing, yes? The amount we've had this year are staggering

Terrible year for injuries. But tbf lots of managers predicted this due to the stupid timing of the world cup and domestic season squashed up to suit. Add to that we played every game going last season it was probably inevitable, not sure anyone thought it would be this bad though. :(

Surely these so called sports scientists should have had a better level of accuracy on it. We failed to plan for it and are paying the consequences now.

Think the bigger issue is things like going into the season without a full compliment of medical staff at the club.

I read something on Reddit (so take it with a grain of salt) about some AI program in use by our medical staff. I didn’t quite understand it but surely we aren’t relying on an AI program to map out recovery times or determine when players should or shouldn’t be playing. Think it’s called Zone7

Didn’t he leave right before the first game - think a couple of days before. Not sure why it took until November to bring in a permanent one though

As I said didn't start until December and actually only took up full duties Jan 2023 which from Summer is pretty dire which ever way you look at it

Mate, don't. LiP is in no way ever going to say anything at this club was done unprofessionally under FSG. Nada.

17 separate hamstring injuries totalling 79 missed games and not having that is bad luck only

      18 including Mane
      Edit apparently according to TAW

I see Ferguson at Brighton went from out for the season to playing tomorrow. They not only scout players better than us but they have a medical department.
