Is it a training related thing that we get so many injuries? The way we play and train is very intense, especially in pre-season with the fitness. The amount of injuries we’ve had in the last 2 years must be significantly more than anyone else. Either that or we train on concrete.

after one game its just weird they have had  8 days to prepare for this looking forward to see what Jürgen has to say

The last thing I think many of us expected was to pick up anymore injuries in that time. Bobby only played about an hour vs Fulham too, if that. And like you say, it was 8 days. Not exactly a quick turnaround on the game.

Regardless of the line up and injuries, this line up should still be beating Palace. If we fail to win this game too, then we don’t really deserve to be considered as a strong contender for the title.

Defense is fine with Nat and the  front three will be fine I think its the number of injuries has shocked many of us and I think we need answers to why. We cant do a 60 game season with this amount of injuries after 1 game.

Couldn't call that team in a 100 goes. Elliott deserves a chance after an impressive pre season. But Phillips over Gomez..I mean Phillips is good but was expected to go. Might be Joe is carrying a slight knock and just holding him back.

Surprised at big natt,  and no hendo starting and bobby not even in the squad.

      Still a cracking team though.

      Up the reds.

More nervous for this than I should be, injuries this early are not what we need. We are where we are and hopefully the lads can still do the business. Come on Reds, let’s get this done and get our season up and running.

Not fully fit so would make sense not to start him

With the squad we should have we shouldn’t be starting Milner

Why? He showed that he still got it last league match.

He leads by example and he is more attacking than Hendo.

That is very cryptic re Bobby. Is he off do you think?

Klopp was asked in his pre-match presser why tonight was the ideal match to start Darwin, and he said "because we have no other strikers" hinting at Bobby picking up an injury.  While it's possible Bobby could be sold in the next 2 weeks, I think it's more likely that he picked up a knock.  Klopp usually likes to get his business done early, so it would all seem out of character for him to start the first game of the season and then get sold immediately after...

Quite right. It’s pretty obvious really, bit of a stupid question to ask.
