Gomez and Keita in, Phillips and Milner out.

Carvalho to start on the left with Salah through the middle and Diaz on the right.

      Henderson in for Elliot too.

Gomez and Keita in, Phillips and Milner out.

Carvalho to start on the left with Salah through the middle and Diaz on the right.

      Henderson in for Elliot too.

Why take out Elliott? He's been arguably our best player in the first 2 games and the stats show he has been our best midfielder. If there's one player who deserves to keep his place, it's him.

Ali, Trent, Gomez, Virgil, Robbo, Fab, Hendo, Elliott, Diaz, Bobby and Mo would be my guess. With Keita, Carvalho and Milner coming on at some stage.

Only Issue with elliott is he is kind of playing in hendo's proffered position, unless hendo plays as the 6 and or with fab as 2 sitting. or elliott could shift to the left. or carvalho could start on the left or he may go with experience to start with and play milner and hendo.

fek knows, too many options, which is strange cos we have no midfielders apparently. pmsl.

Oh I forgot Naby is back from illness too. More MF options.

I was stuck in two minds, I want Henderson and Naby in midfield, with Fabinho. So that leaves Harvey either starting wide right with Salah and Diaz up top but I think Carvalho would be more of a threat on the left up top than Harvey of the right of a top three.

If he started I wouldn't be too fussed, just think Carvalho could have a real pop at United's RB with Diaz getting at their LB.

I completly forgot Bobby would be fit but with his last showing I am not sure I would start him straight away.

Elliot can only develop and improve with game time and he did nothing to suggest he should be dropped in fact until Diaz scored he was my MOTM. Hendo is still our heart and soul he dictates the pace he talks throughout the game he is Jürgen on the pitch.
Gomez too will only get better once he gets games under his belt  so after the difficult match on Monday I think we will spark to life against UTD as no further motivation is needed.

Will be an intense game. Both sides with poor starts and they'll have the 9-0 aggregate thrashing in the back of their minds for sure. Us on the other hand will probably be starting the game 7 points off the pace which should be motivation enough to get a first win and get back on track.

Alisson; Trent, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott; Salah, Bobby, Diaz.

Think it'll be a bit too much for Carvalho to start him in the front three for this one.

So looks like Joe CB and expect Bobby to come in. Midfield would like Naby in but think Elliott starts with Naby to come on

Could klopp thrown a curveball and change formation ? or even just give carvalho and elliott a start together, let the young lads have a go at them for first half.

      Could go with....

      ----------------- Ali ---------------
      - Trent - Gomez - VVD - Robbo -
      -------------- Fab ----------------
      - Elliott - Hendo - Carvahlo - diaz
      -------------- Salah --------------

      or

2 pivots as clever people like to call it. ;D
front 4 pretty free to go wherever.

As I said in t'other thread..

      Ali
      Trent Gomez VVD Robbo
      Naby Hendo Robinho
      Salah Diaz Milly.

I'm moving Diaz in off the wing and giving him licence to operate across the line. He is much more dangerous when he is let loose.
Milner has played wide and I'm putting him in over Carvalho for his experience but it could work if Carvalho plays.

I expect a reaction from United so this could be a hard game. Odd goal in three to us.

how did you give yourself a plus .
Old Trafford in any era is a place you need to go and win the game so we have to be on it to win it. Last season we were to be fair on a different planet nobody could have lived with us that day and it could have been 7 or 8.

Probably will end in a draw this one  :D

Don’t know why but I don’t have a good feeling going into this game with our last two results, injured squad and playing on Monday night again.

Crazy things can happen in these types of games….

This will surely be the team. Joe has to come in. You couldn't leave Harvey out after his performance against Palace, Hendo as captain has to be on the pitch and Bobby is our only central striker who is fit.

I am looking forward to it. Beating the Mancs is its own reward.
