Losing to the worst United team in decades with a midget at CB, just months after almost winning a quadruple... how have we let ourselves be in this situation?

Because we didn't address our issues which is midfield. Games are won and lost in the middle. We decided to stick with a sh*t Hendo, o.a.p Milner, declining Fabinho, sicknote Keita and pointless Ox.

We didn't address it because it costs money. Fans will realise when we don't make top 4.

Klopp will speak about it after we lose today.

United started to run out of gas around 35 minutes. If we would just raise our game a bit, I think there's goals for us there.

For sure, we needed another 5 minutes added on.

Just frustrating how open we look through the middle and I know we always run the risk with our high line but UTD shouldn't be able to get to us so easily. 

All it takes is a bit of Diaz or Salah magic and UTD will crumble.

Young Fabio needs to come on from the start of 2nd half so he can run at them and create chances, don’t seem to have at the moment

Dire performance until the last 10 mins when we started to play like we should have at the start. It's too late of course and we're chasing the game whilst not threatening to score. Fernandes had a better effort on goal than any of our lads.

Diaz the only one putting in a shift.

Trent and Gomez appalling. VVD and Robertson not much better. Milner and Henderson have been poor. Salah did nothing. Firmino is just Firmino.

Deserved the lead but last 20 mins you settled down, fortunately midfield ( like I’ve said for a while ) costing you dearly, at the moment! Hopefully continues in the second half.

Elliot is our only midfielder that's playing even remotely close to the level we currently need if we aspire to contend for anything this season.

The lad is also 19 f**king years old. Something is clearly not adding up.

No midfielders that we can afford/available apparently yet these tw*ts managed to get Eriksen who was there for the taking.

Eriksen is not really our type of midfielder we should be looking for. not with the way Klopp wants his midfielders to play

My problem wasn't the first 20, we're a team that can be got at currently and without Fabinho and Thiago in midfield to put a foot on we were always going to struggle.

The bigger issue was the last 20, when we had all the ball but created absolutely F**k all. United completely ran out of gas but apart from Fernandes almost scoring an own goal they had absolutely F**k all to worry about.

We were better in the last 20 minutes and United didn’t look threatening. Unfortunately, we didn’t really look that threatening either, but at least we had more control of the game and had some decent link-up play.

We should improve second half and I don’t think United will keep us out the entire game. We just have to hope this group of players on  the pitch can do something though because we don’t really have any game changers. Fabinho might be able to come in and help us in midfield but he’s been poor so far this season. Carvalho could offer something but he’s a kid. The only other player who could offer something is Tsimikas. The bench is really lacking.

The biggest thing right now, United look like they are willing to do whatever it takes to win and our boys are just looking uninterested.

So why is everyone at the likes of Milner yet VVD again has been poor and was very poor for the goal ?

James Milner would struggle in the championship at this stage of his career, and he started the last 2 games for us. Nightmare that were in.

Bobby just doesn't work anymore. Ball sticks under his feet. His movements seemed labored. Seems in his own head.

VVD been awful this season, lack of effort on a lot of the opps scoring plays

Think commentary hit the nail on the head, Salah and Diaz are not making runs in behind but are staying wide and coming deep.
