Our players aren't playing to the standard they should, unless you plan on swapping the whole 11 with new signings not sure what the owners can do.

I think the point is maybe these performances are a symptom of not being aggressive enough in the transfer market in the last few years. Just because you're successful doesn't mean you shouldn't be looking to recruit the best players and it feels like maybe we haven't really planned the redevelopment of this squad that well.

Watch a game like this and I can't help but feel we've got some starters who should be bench players and some bench players who should have been moved on long ago.

Now if you want to blame the owners for that or the recruitment team that's different, but it's clear that something has gone wrong in the continuing development of this team.

What’s worrying is that this is against the likes of Newcastle, Palace and Fulham. Dread to think what will happen when we come up against Spurs, Arsenal etc and better opposition

Poor again from VVD and Trent , shocking attempt at a cross field and then VVD was lost , Fabinho stepping up just just allowed the easy ball to be played

Need to be quicker and sharper all over the pitch on the ball , Mo just not in the game , Robbo and Diaz look sharper , Elliot again bright and sharp

Right now the players just look devoid of energy and look like the legs are full of lead - this team spent 5/6 months destroying teams last season

We have american owners. They want to make profit unlike the Sheikhs who want to make greatness. Nothing will happen, Klopp will somehow make something good out of it, but we could be a 3 times PL AND CL winner right now if we had Sheikhs as owners.

Oh you can f**k off with your Sheikh loving fuckwittery. tw*t

That's what's annoying... our players will show up for those games, used to be the story of ours for a while but never expected it from this squad of 'mentality monsters'...

5-0 up City just bringing De Bruyne on the pitch.

Will it be Curtis or Millie we turn too?

Sure I get that but we can't be screaming about the owners every time we go a goal down, we aren't UTD.

I feel we should have replaced Origi and Minamino personally and got another midfielder in, so I am not exactly over the moon about our transfer dealings but at the same time this performance has been woeful due to the players on the pitch underperforming in regards to their own standards.

Shame with the injuries as Hendo and Mo should be dragged off after that half.

Just watching the City goals at Half time. We are not in the same stratosphere this season as them I'm afraid.

The worrying thing is Arsenal Spurs United and Chelsea will fight with us for the remaining places and I'm not sure we are good enough to finish ahead of many of those teams either.

yep. weve done incredibly to compete with them, but the way we operate in the market its never felt sustainable long term.

Our biggest worry at the minute is our defence IMO.

Yeah, but the main problem is the mdifield. They arent offering anything going forward, and they arent protecting the defence either. Mo has been poor, so has TAA but we would have looked alot better if midfield just performed a lil better imo.
