Who remembers summer 2010 and us clamouring to see whether we'd signed Carlton Cole on transfer deadline day???

We're a fart away from signing Clint Dempsey. Just need Hendo to agree to leave.

Seem to recall rumours of us being linked to Ozil and Mario Gomez that summer...as f**king if!!! Nuneaton Borough stood a better chance of signing those two than us!

Can’t see the difference selling to Brighton rather than to us, we’re both Prem clubs, and it’s crystal Chavs, or more accurately Tuchel, didn’t fancy him at all, anyhoo, it don’t matter now it’s done, but we need midfield recruitments and he was ideal, so I’m bemused to why our transfer board wouldn’t show their hand !!

Knowing chelsea, they put in a buy back option. You think we would do that with them.  Would we F**k.

If he was a long term option you'd think we'd negotiate a buy option now as we'd expect his value only to go up if he plays well.

Man, that Forest owner is literally playing Football Manager with real money. If you are one of 18 new signings, do you think your chances of playing regularly are good?

Shut I’d forgotten about that one! How mental did we all go after it fell through. Can’t recall he ever did anything of note afterwards either!

Totally agree it’s against the grain for you lads. It’s desperate measures though due to your midfield problems. Not sure I could even call your transfer team as they’ve been excellent over the last few year.  Hendo being injured has arguably forced Klopps hands in doing something he doesn’t like.

If money has been put aside for the Bellingham deal next year a loan signing makes perfect sense to keep within  FSG budget.  Granted it’s not the midfielder you want by choice but like I said! Is anything better than nothing? Only you lot can decide that.

we missed our main target so presumably we had money and no plan B.Midfield will need a clear out of 4 or 5 players that will be expensive. The comments on this loan isnt positive regarding his attitude and discipline within the club. We dont have a deal for Bellingham and if we miss top four what then he goes to Chelsea . We have dropped the ball on this one and now have to play catch up

Went to Betis the season after that and did ok . Certainly never reached the heights he did the season we looked to get him

Thought you were getting good signals about signing Bellingham? From everything I read/hear your clear favs for getting him.

Yeah defo dropped the ball during transfer window. Like I’ve already said not signing 1/2 midfielders will cost you a title challenge. Arguably still finish 2nd or 3rd though when you sort out your injury problems.

With City improving yet again not only will they score 100 goals they may get 100 points.  :-\
