I am sure there must be an agreement with Juve to let him use our facilities to get back his fitness and form so that he can play again for Juve next season.

Perhaps a new revenue stream that our owners would have thought of!

I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt as long as the player is injured, but once you tell me he is recovered and back to team training and I can't find him on any team sheet ever since then yeah, 100% failed transfer. Hope this is the last time I see us pulling such a move.

Once the majority players are healthy he wouldn’t be making the game’s squad. The reason he was brought here was for cover when we were going down with injuries every 10 minutes and were down to the bare bones (at one point we had a full 11 player team out at the same time).

The failure is that he got hurt at the exact time he was brought in to play and now that he’s healthy so is basically everyone else.

      Against City?

      I highly doubt it.

Is the f**ker fit no disrespect meant Melo? Well lets see him play and if it's some weird Klopp won't play him because weird reasons lets still see him play, I'm pissed off,  Carvalho can't get a look in either even with our midfield which sorry to skit us but it's like the worst midfield in all leagues now. Explain that stuff in the press confrences, why is the midfield so sh*t is the question that needs asking and has even when we won stuff, it was all on Trent Robbo, nothing in the centre, the defenders were on form too, our midfield has been mush for since forever it seems.

He reeked of a desperate signing from the off, don't think we ever had any intention of using him even if he was fit. Baffles me we didn't cut the loan short before Christmas when we knew he was done. We're pretty much now into April when we'll next play and he's no closer to being part of Klopp's plans.

Hopefully teaches us not to f**k around at the last minute to find whatever scrap we can get our hands on. Palhinha was out there and available for 20m, why didn't we go for him? Carlos Soler was out there and available for 20m, why didn't we go for him? Leicester wanted 25m for Tielemans and Villa wanted 25m for Luiz, why didn't we go for them?

It's a shame he got such an unlucky break with that long term injury when he was almost ready to return to games.

Yep, let's put all our eggs in the Touchameni basket and then when he chooses Madrid (which he was always likely to do according to sources) we get ourselves the Arthur Melo consolation prize. We get a player that's sh*t and injured and we pay for him to basically tour our rehab facilities everyday.

Yep - dogshit season. Absolutely horrendous when comparing to last year. Like an 80% drop off. This signing does sum it up.

And the owners can say oh look we went and got what you lot were screaming for. He's even played for Barca. We done what was needed. Come pat us on the back now.

      What a waste of money.
Indicative of a false economy sometimes endured with FSG.

Got to feel sorry for him a bit

Not so long ago he was next big Brazilian to come through , started off well at Barcelona - did ok at Juve as well ,  clearly a very good technical player

Didn’t look physical fit when he arrived and then has a serious injury

Fit he would have given us a back up option to Thiago but that injury just did him over

You can see why the gamble was taken.
At one point looked to be a player in the same mould as Thiago.
Unfortunately he seems just as prone to injuries.
Issue is that the club is forced into taking these gambles.
