Pretty dour performance that. Can’t say anything to good about many of our lot.
      Bob was ok, Joe motm,
We just didn’t get the passing going unless it was across the back. As we moved forward, there was always someone to cock it all up with a poor pass. Not always the same player, everyone was guilty.
What’s frustrating is, we know we’re capable of so much more. Can’t think what’s caused this sort of performance, but it’s clearly too often.
Surely it’s not just down to Mane going is it ?
Any aspirations for the title looking slimmer by the game.
So pissed off, but I’m sure they all trying their hardest.
Need to put it right in the CL that’s for sure.

Glad to see Matip and Jotta back but think that’s the only plus today, oh, and the clean sheet.

It could have been 3-1 for us or vice versa.

Not happy with a point but both deserved something.

Firmino is playing well so we need him in the team.

Evertons first clean sheet of the season. We have 1 point from playing two of the worst teams in the league that were utterly their for the taking if the liverpool of 2020 turned up. This is a rebuilding season

We know these players can be amazing so no excuses for playing sh*t especially mr salah who is really stinking the place out . We will come good but cups are the best bet this year . Nowhere near enough consistency to win the league no chance

What do you think our problems are down to?

Cumulative, we gave let key players get older and slower plus not got rid of the injury prone players.

Anybody could have predicted that first half today a midfield with 2 babies and Fab.

Although having said that we do have 9 players for every posit do nothing to worry about 🤣🤣

I think as a team we've become arrogant. Even board level. It's all arrogance and entitlement. That feeling of "oh we'll win again". Players more bothered about Pepsi adverts than scoring. Contract sagas being dragged out in public.

      It's all a sh*t show.

Maybe Mane had enough or saw things happening that didn't suit his all or nothing style?

Mane was no better, this is form that goes back to the run in of last season and he was missing just as much as anyone else. The only difference is the team would just about lift themselves when it mattered most to get the win. Now it’s just nothingness.

Klopp unfortunately killed our momentum today, we were getting well on top in that 2nd half and changing both fullbacks and having Milner at RB completely changed the complexion of the game and it became an opened up, end to end mess.

Thought Diaz and Salah who both hit the woodwork at one point were poor, Salah was non-existant and when he was on the ball was (bar the clever pass on Firmino chance) lost it a lot while Diaz made a lot of poor decisions with the ball. Don't seem to want to use them as the out ball after winning the ball, just seem happy to pass it between the CB's and full back 3 or 4 time.

Full backs who we rely to create chances continue to be poor, espeically Milner who I bet was glad to see Matip come on and get pushed by to CM.

Seems like this season going to be slog, Klopp got to figure out what the right personal is when we get bodies back and get on a run as right now looking like very disjointed and scrappy team atm

      Simply not good enough.

Alisson - 8/10. Saved us on a couple of occasions. Doing what he is paid for. Most reliable man on the field for us as ever.

Virgil - 7/10. Good display by him. Let down by those in front of him

Gomez - 8/10. As above, held his own whilst those up front in red didn't.

Trent - 7/10. Looked a bit sloppy at the start but grew into it. Defended well. Not his fault Mo is playing appallingly in front of him which is nullifying opportunities to strike with his right. Bizarre decision to take him off.

Fabinho - 6/10. Not great but not bad. Looks perplexed at the performances around him and in front of him. Onus is on him to play it quicker but that's not his game. I feel ya Fab, I feel ya.

Elliott - 6/10. Didn't really work for him today. Did nothing wrong but was never in the heart of the action. Like Fab though, he can finger the performances of those ahead of him. Christ, he is trying to ignite something from those up top. Doesn't have the range or the game to play the direct, Hollywood ball that would get the most out of someone like Nunez.

Carvalho - 5/10. Barely noticed him but not his fault. Too young and raw to suddenly fit into a revamped front line.

Diaz - 3/10. Terrible, predictable and is simply not doing it. Could have, should have scored in the first half. Summed up late on a by an awful 5 yard pass that would have set Robbo off but was easily cut out by a blue shirt. His displays are taking our left back out of the game and the hyperbole of his first 6 months at the club has become a distant echo. Is he the real deal???

Nunez - 4/10. Looked tame and timid which might be a negative reaction to his red against Palace. Bar a superb effort that was saved by Pickford had nothing to shout about. We're going to have to seriously adapt our game and he's also going to have to step it up quite considerably before he looks like an 80m signing.

Salah - 3/10. Well this is worrying. 350k going down the drain every week. Looks the easiest player in the world to defend against. Lucky not to have conceded on the counter the number of times he's lost it this season. Shockingly bad and needs to be dropped.

      Subs:

Milner. 5/10. Didn't really make the impact but not his fault. Messed around by being subbed onto right back for Trent and then moved in field after Matip came on...which begs the question why Matip didn't come on in the first place with Joe going out right.

Robbo. 6/10. Let down by an increasingly bad Diaz on the left. Gave us directness

Firmino. 7/10. Is the only attacking player showing who he is. Unlucky not to score. The attack is a one man show at the moment.

Jota. 6/10. Showed more in the few minutes in the field than Diaz. Good to have him back cos we're going to need him on the basis of Salah and Diaz's form.

Matip. 6/10. Great to see Joel back again. But why on earth not out him on earlier? The Milner at right back move was bizarre and disrupted us enough to let Everton have a moment.

I guess that’s what happens when you don’t add absolute quality to the squad at the moment that looks like a tired stale team .

The only positive to take from this game is Gomez IMO, thought he had a very good game and going in the right direction with his form after so long out. Right now, I’d be tempted to have him and Matip at CB.

Grim...grimity...grimnes s.. Fact that we didn't put them to the sword was telling. Don't think the line up suited that game. The general malaise and lack of personality of the place deadens the spirit.

VVD was so bored with the game that he trod on someone, trying to get himself sent off so he could go and watch the telly..catch up on the soaps..

Just couldn't understand the strategy today. Reminded me of one of those games under Rafa where he took off Torres that left Gerrard with arms out saying 'wtf'

Don’t like Gomez as a player but did play well today, credit where credits due. What’s happened to Salah? So many strange/confusing performances by so many players, you’ll be scratching your heads what’s going on.
