Liverpool make three changes for their Champions League opener with Napoli this evening.

Andy Robertson returns in defence for the Group A encounter at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, while James Milner comes into midfield.

Roberto Firmino starts in attack, while Thiago Alcantara is named among the substitutes.

Arthur on the bench with Nunez. Elliott holds his place, Bobby back in poss for his midfield work.  Could be a stalemate, don't give away any silly free kicks, refs over here give a foul for the slightest aggression. Get this right and the confidence will be..on it's way back

We need a good performance to give us some boost for next Saturday.

Thought about watching this tonight but I can't tolerate BT Sport's abysmal coverage. Happily listen on radio.

Great to see Bobby in the starting lineup. It was really a no brainer to have him back leading the line after Saturday's awful spectacle in attack. Has improved our chances immeasurably by his inclusion alone.

I think Milner will struggle too, he can be the perfect person to bring on to see out a win, but starting a champions league game away in Italy? Nah not for me.
