Our form is awfull but we pulled it back to be in a winning position then to change the team so late on instead of seeing out the game MILNER  should be nowhere near this time but the only one who dosnt see this and keeps on playing him is Klopp.

Tchouameni was who Klopp wanted and now Bellingham but other clubs offer double or treble our wages so they go elsewhere. Fsg need to loosen the purse strings or Europa league is where we will be playing.

The FSG ā€œpurse stringsā€ are F***ing welded shut!

We need to bring in a midfielder or 2, with the energy to give us our pressing back. (Douglas Luiz at Villa would be a realistic option for me in January.) Can't do that until the transfer window though (the World Cup might actually help us by reducing the number of games before that). In the meantime, get Gomez at RB instead of Trent, which in turn would make it easier for Elliot to start in midfield, giving us a bit more energy there.

Apart from that, there is not an awful lot else JĆ¼rgen can do, we just lack options. Keita being available would help, but we know that doesn't tend to last. But JĆ¼rgen does need to do something now about our defensive softness on our right, at the very least.

Unless Klopp buys them himself or we have a whip round at Anfield the midfield game losing conundrum will continue unabated

I'll start off with a tenner, any one else care to contribute before things become really desperate.

This won't be an overnight fix. The midfield is looking tired and leggy. Any combo doesn't really solve the problem. Aged and Jones not living up to his early billing. There's no energy, no forward thrust.

Attack has lost it's cutting edge, Mo's 'artful dodger' routine on the ropes, lacking confidence in Nunez, no young tearaway knocking on the door

The defensive malaise is catching, strolling out to challenge, half hearted attempts to cut out crosses. All a bit laid back, no urgency. One word jumps out...Decline. Seen it at United, Arsenal after Wenger.

      One signing won't be enough.

It has gone on for way too long and we now have the oldest team in the league.

One signing even with the genius of Klopp would be like whittling away at piece of a jigsaw to solve the puzzle!
JĆ¼rgen like everyone else knew about the advancing years of our key men but he is scarcely given the resources to plan on a weekly basis never mind seasons to come.

And that's the real problem. Not enough investment in the squad. It catches up eventually. In terms of 'net spend' we are in or near the relegation zone.

As with any shortcoming if the malfunction is not addressed immediately the ramifications multiply to an unmanageable degree.

The puzzle is we have a manager who has the qualification to address any shortcomings given the resources to do so at the first opportunity!

There was a scruffy haired bloke with a big moustache who once said (I'll paraphrase) ...Doing the same thing over and over and expecting the outcome to be different is a sure sign of madness.

Two wins in seven in the league and we scored the winner in the 98th minute in one of those. This season we are looking shambolic. If I knew the answer I'd offer it up, but I don't, but it doesn't matter that I don't...... However what does matter, is it's increasingly worrying that maybe the boss might not have an answer either.

Might be F**k all to do with what the boss is saying and more to do with the application of the players.

They let him down as well as us yesterday.

Villa's Luiz wouldn't be that expensive. He's always looked a player every time I see him (will probably have a shocker this afternoon now.) Not a solution all on his own, but I think he is quality + affordable + maybe available in January.

In the meantime, Rangers is a chance for us to freshen up our line-up, give some younger guys a chance. (Diaz, Nunes and Carvalho up front for me. Elliot in midfield, Gomez shoring up our right hand side at RB.)

I really donā€™t think Bellingham can fix this even if he joined tomorrow.
I really donā€™t see why Bob was taken off when he appeared to be our main goal threat.
What was Millie actually meant to do when he came on.
I donā€™t think we started with the right 11 and the subs were odd, and one far to late to make any impact whatsoever ever. All the subs seem to have done is unsettle us.
Only seen the game on motd and Ali clearly motm.

I think Milner was supposed to bring experience into the team. Calm the lads and try to keep the ball and waste time. That's my guess why Milner came on, in hindsight that didn't work at all.

Our midfield is our main problem, defence has too much to do because our mid isn't covering them. That leads to pressure on midfield. Our attackers are struggling because their isn't any through balls or no link up play from midfield.

Thats something I have seen in almost all of our games this season. Midfield is aging, and out of form as well.

anyone else just got an overall bad feeling about all of this.

Yep it's going to be another not very pretty season similar to two seasons ago. Just swap the defensive problem with players fit for a midfield problem with who's fit to play.

Salah currently looks a busted flush, he's really struggling to get involved. Tent looks like he's piled on a bit of upper strength and is now struggling to keep up with the pace when having to get back from an attacking position and that's before you get on to his actual defensive problems. VVD  is struggling to get some form together, apart from the Boutlrnemouth game I think VVD has struggled defensively in virtually every other game, too busy moaning at other players when he should be worrying about his own game. The whole midfield were poor yesterday. Thiago's passing was very, very off yesterday, Fab looking a shadow of himself and the skipper just lumping silly F***ing clearances straight back to the opposition a bit like Brighton's first..
But for Ali, Diaz and Bobby, yesterday could of been even more embarrassing.

Unfortunately past his best now, was just in good form yesterday. Although he was still more dangerous than Salah.

Very worried tbh, been worried since preseason, seeing how easy our defense can be shrugged off, stems from a weak midfield being bypassed but still the defense itself is so dodgy. When the goalie can realistically get motd for a game when we let 3 goals in at home. Strange situation, our football isn't even fun to watch. thank god Firmino is in the mood these days. Didn't like the team selection and Milner on as a sub was an insult, the minute Henderson started playing well, he gets took off. Nunez or Diaz not on from the start, Salah should be off that pitch since many games ago. Too many things are wrong. We're like Everton or something bringing Milner on to lump into people, embarrassing. Subbing off Tsmikas for Milner was that the change? Ffs what type of change is that? Where is Keita? I don't care if Klopp yet again fell out with a player, if he's fit he should be on that pitch because our midfield is zero in anything.

Heard a few questioning Tsimikas sub and clearly was due to fatigue. Played more minutes than anyone int break and with no back.up not sure what choice he had . In regards to Keita like him or loathe him he is missed but will.be weeks before we see him

Imagine for a moment you're a Brighton player.....What's your response to seeing Milner come on?....What's your response to seeing Nunez come on?
