I just hope it’s not what everyone is saying - I’ll be amazed if it is because it’s Henderson

Allegations being bandied about that Henderson made an inappropriate remark during the penalty melee. F A said to be looking into it.

One other thing that gave me the hump. During the aftermatch debate on Sky it was suggested that the VAR refs didn't tell Oliver to go to the monitor for the first half hand ball incident or the penalty because of his..."standing in the game"...if there's any truth in that then VAR is not fit for purpose.

If the VAR judges make decisions based on Refs standing then that undermines the whole process. Decisions should be made on merit not on somebody's experience or lack of it.

Looks like on replay, Hendo and Magalhaes have a coming together, heated exchange, Kostas approaches and pushes Magalhaes away, he then peels off and makes gestured complaint to Ref.

Other players might have been in earshot, difficult to say.

If you're not ignoring the net spend then what has our net spend been for the last 5 seasons?

This JH lapdog doesn't know when to quit does he. I think we paid about 60m upfront for Darwin. 5m on cavalho and 5m on ramsay. 70m.

Got 35m for mane, 15 million for Williams and 18m for taki . Took a few million for loaning players out again and guess what .... we spent f*ck all again.

Klopp has spent around 620m on players and recouped 480m for a net of 140m or 20m a season. Tell me how you are supposed to compete spending 20m a year. Its like the David Moores years. A disgrace.

We've won what we've won inspite of JH and his group. And when Jürgen leaves they will be exposed as the clueless penny pinching p*icks they've always been. Propped up by a genius that sadly is running out of tricks to keep us competitive.

Trying to stay on topic. No issue with the result yesterday. 3-2 flattered us. We were nowhere near them 2nd half.

Yeah we can talk about decisions but the fact is that we came out asleep again ... we're naieve beyond belief on half time and defended like total idiots for the 3rd goal. Jurgens big players are letting him down badly. There is no leadership out on the pitch. Oh for a Gerrard or a Souness ... they'd be delivering a few home truths into people's faces I can tell you.

I'm really worried about next week. Unless we pull our fingers out we are staring down the barrel of a hiding unlike anything we've seen at anfield.

And ignored by those who want to avoid the truth.

In your world the club could sell all the players and buy a freddo and you'd say they've invested 25p

Took a while but got there in the end :)

your wasting your time he is the only poster who defends the owners sorry bankers more than the team.

Impossible to decide. Magalhaes is Brazilian. Hendo a geordie lad. Lets see how the FA look at it. We've been tangled up in this sort of stuff before with Suarez and Firmino. Not good it is.

I will be staggered if Henderson has used any racist language - there is a chance he said something to Partey about his current issue and imo that’s fair game

Not sure anyone is crying over what Everton, spurs, arsenal and united have spent.
It’s more that to compete with city you either need to spend money or have the ultimate, perfect transfer strategy.
For years we have signed well and sold well also.
But it looks like we have not had that perfect transfer strategy now and coupled with certain players getting towards their sell by date it now means we need more than one player in a window.

Otherwise we will be competing with Everton and spurs while city will be over the hill and far away.

City wouldn’t wait until the final minutes of a transfer window to fix a problem with a loan player.
We have and it’s backfired. Our midfield now looks weak and jaded.

Our grip on city’s coat tails is slipping and the only way to keep hold of it is to fix our issues which sadly cost money.

Until then we will be back battling  with Everton and spurs in the battle for 4th.

The midfield quandary has been a game loser for so long, only owners with an agenda far removed from 'soccer' would fail to remedy the problem.

Don’t think it helps anyone by playing just the two in the middle against three - that imo was a poor choice

True. Much better in a 3 slightly advanced.  Still think when firing Him, Thiago and Fab our best midfield
