If ever there was a game to re-ignite our season it's this one.

City are always vulnerable when they are really put under pressure, why not it be us that gives them that hiding they are vulnerable to.

      4-2 Liverpool. Let's F***ing go.

I’m Clinging on to city’s dreadful Anfield record, long May it continue. Would bite your hand off for a draw.

Great to have Konate and Robertson back. I’m curious see whether we play three in midfield or whether he continues with Nunez and the two in midfield.

They will go 433 ... I think we match up. Bob in-between Jota and salah. Fab hendo and thiago in midfield. Or...

                                   Alisson

      Gomez      konate             VVD         Robertson

                         Hendo           Fabinho

           Salah               Thiago                Jota

                                    Nunez

It's one on those. I don't think the team picks itself. Jürgen has options. I'd go 433 but with hendo and fab sitting deeper.

Doesn’t get said enough with the imbecile pundits and experts associated with this bent game.

" klopp believes City, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle are not bound by the same financial constraints as most clubs and cast doubt on the effectiveness of FFP. Asked how Liverpool could keep pace with Pep Guardiola’s team, who are 13 points clear of their recent title rivals, Klopp replied: “Oh, you won’t like the answer. You will not like the answer, and you all have the answer already. Nobody can compete with City in that.

“You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market. No matter what it costs, you just do it. I know City will not like it, nobody will like it, you’ve asked the question but you know the answer. What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It is not possible. Not possible. It is just clear and again you know the answer.

“There are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially. It’s legal and everything, fine, but they can do what they want. They will say: ‘Yeah but we have ...’ but it’s exactly the fact. We have to look at it [and say]: ‘We need that and we need that and we have to look here and make it younger, and here a prospect and here a talent’ and that is what you have to do. And you compete with them.”

Newcastle are talking about naming rights now so one of the bent oil companies will no doubt give £100mil for the yabaadabbdoo Stadium but its all legal of course. When they (City) can pay more in wages for one player than probably half the EPL squads annual budget then how can it be fair play financially

You don’t need to have the brain cells of a rocket scientist to tell you that going up against City in their current guise is a bit of a mountain to say the least, and it will be, they are miles ahead of us and anyone else for that matter and the choking point is in truth and hopefully not reality that we could get a proper shellacking, on paper at least ?

Now I know, we don’t play on paper but that doesn’t disguise the fact that while we are in a kind of transition period and using a new formation, still in its infancy, we are vulnerable as our league position shows, and there probably isn’t a worst side to face at the moment than them, so we are properly up against it,

I think and believe Jürgen will revert back to a 4-3-3 and not risk a 4-2-3-1, think Hendo & Thiago V De Bruyen, Gundogan & Silva, no brainer who gets overrun here, but a Hendo Thiago, Fabinho is a different animal and much more tougher for them, but how do we fit Bobby in ? It’s risky but I’d play Jota, Bobby & Mo up front with the aforementioned mids of Hendo Fab & Thiago, not sure Robbo is ready for such a massive  game so I’d be happy if Kostas continues with Gomez on the opposite side, and it’s a toss up between Joel & Konate who partner’s Virgil.

Question remains how do you stop Haaland? In the old days a hit man would suffice however that’s a bit OTT so another kind of hit man is required, it may cost you a red card but a knee high solid tackle utilised properly wound pay dividends further up the premier league pipe, only kiddin, I don’t advocate hurting or deliberately injuring any opponents,

Answer is it’s pretty damn difficult and as cringing as it is to say, some players you just have to admire and hope they have a off day against you.

In our current form I really don’t see us winning, a draw though I would consider a good result, I’m going for Desmond.

2-2 take it on the chin and move on !!

Surey nobody is surprised. Its a shame and its frustrating. But I've read that many times now about our players picking up knocks in training that I'm just numb to it. I expect players now who completed or didn't play in the last match to be injured come the next one. It's a shock if their isn't at least one.

Milly at right back then ..... yeah.

I don't want to see fabinho at centre back or right back. We need him to get rythem in midfield so he can get something like his best form back

As soon as Matip was injured we should have all bet that konate would follow. We will back to Nat Phillips and hendo at centre half in a few games

Looks like it’s 50/50 - hopefully they don’t risk him

Gomez at CB and Milner at right back with them not doing too much of the high line will be ok. Robbo being back is key but need VVD to be on his game and Fabinho to be at his best
