Thought I would miss this but luckily managed to find a TV showing it.

Showed real fight from the first whistle to the last and it was a thoroughly deserved win. Spurned three really easy chances but got the one we needed.

Also we've got to be asking questions of Anthony Taylor after that. I know our referees are incompetent but that was just farcical.

Mate, it was ridiculous. As was the commentary and the post match bollocks. Makes you think who's getting a piece of the Man City owner's pie

Haaland has failed to score and assist in two games both against Liverpool the Charity Shield and today. Just found ESPN and fair play to Shaka Hislop he admitted he got it completely wrong

Maybe it is unrealistic to expect that sort of commitment across every match of the season, but today's effort was SO much better than many of the games this season. That is what made the biggest difference for me today.

That and Joe "I've got Haaland in my pocket" Gomez. Immense for Joe today.

Terrible missed call by Anthony Taylor and the assistant re Bernardo Silva mugging Mo. Jürgen mentioned that he and Pep had agreed the ref was allowing some ridiculous challenges to go both ways. Taylor apparently told both teams before the match he wasn't going to call much and I suppose he meant that, but you cannot let that challenge (or the one on Fabinho for the rightly disallowed goal) go without a whistle. Let those go and it's Aussie Rules or American football.

(Jürgen is going to be suspended though, I guarantee it).

Said Fabinho would have to play much better today for us to have a chance and I think he definitely did that, although he is still having too many loose touches. Good game from him though.

Harvey Elliott put in a shift, helping defend on the right, and lively in midfield/going forward.

Nunez was effective with his running in the latter part of the game but what a bad decision when he missed/ignored Salah for what would have spared us the anxiety of the final few minutes.

It should be noted that on the breakaway play where Salah had his shot saved by Ederson, Mo did the EXACT same thing in ignoring Diogo Jota who was available for a tap in if Mo had just touched it over to him.

The awareness from Alisson and Mo on the goal - state of the art stuff. A moment to savor.

As many have already pointed out, if we are to be a factor in the title race, we must keep this kind of focus and intensity going forward.

For the rest of today though, I just want to enjoy a special performance and result.

Hopefully they have booked an extended gig and weren't just playing a one-night stand.

What an effort from the lads today! And well played the Manager too!

Gave MOTM to Milner after giving him such a hard time before kickoff! He was immense.

Stevie and Kenny are in a league of their own but the third best player to have played for this club is Mohammed Salah.

In what has been a tough season I really enjoyed that win. If we showed just even half of that intensity and pace we would be in a better position.

As for the game give Gomez and Milner a lot of credit on the right side, they defended very well. Salah really looked up for it and hopefully this will be a good run up until the World Cup break because it looks like Jota picked up something (didn't look good) at the end of the game.

We could have easily put 3 or 4 goals past the Man City Keeper today.

      I'm happy with the win.

confirmed Ali was also fouled for their disallowed goal.
It was great to see our lads back but surely a Ref just cant decide not to apply the rules

What a satisfying 1 nil win, concern from the game is Jota being injured. Soz for not expanding on my thoughts I have many concerning the game, just want to keep it simple and maybe add to my comment on the game later on. Glad we can all enjoy the day/night... week, exciting game :).
