I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow, and also the Arse v City match. That’s been postponed though. Do you think it was called off due to city being mentally drained and looking a bit vulnerable.?
Don’t think the fa would like to see them losing two on the trot.
Personally I was hoping for a draw. 😊

                      Ally
      Milner Gomez Virgil Robbo
         Elliot Hendo Thiago
         Salah Bob Nunez

Would stick with the defense that started vs Citeh and played so well - but can see Jürgen looking to get TAA back. Could maybe see him bring in Kostas for Robbo, with lot of games coming up.
Hendo maybe in for Fab, but toss up. Think Elliot did enough to deserve a start. Good to see Jones on the bench, be nice to see him come on if boss sees fit.
If Diaz or Jota fit would start them, but they're not so Nunez to start with Bob and Mo.
      3 pts please ! :)

Trent attacking midfielder for me.  :P

Nah mate, he’s fine there when linking up, but he’s best where he is, he might not be the world’s best rb, but if he has sufficient  cover he thrives as you are well aware, in short you get the best TAA there is and not a TAA at 75% !!

Many fans may consider differently due to his extremely difficult start to the season. He’s probably had more stick than any other player at the moment. Now I’ll never be a coach but would just like to see him play in that attacking role for a game or two. Like I’ve said can’t be no worse than what he’s been playing. Klopp won’t listen to a manc though.  ;D

His defending was really good last season - he’ll get it back. Just needs the right shape and cover.

      NB: Team no longer available

      I would play 4-1-2-1-2.

I would change Milner around the 60th minute with Trent. Carvalho and Elliott to come on at around 70th minute.

And No, we don’t listen to Manc’s handing out advise either on how or where we play our players mate, your comfortable knowing Jürgen as being arguably the best in the world but yet fail to see why one of the best coaches in the world won’t play TAA in midfield, I’m not nor never will be a coach either but I do recognise that to get the very very best out of what you have you play them where they are most comfortable, and in their favoured position, you won’t always get a 100% performance but you will get a performance where no blame is apportioned to individual’s,

At Liverpool we play as a unit, as one, we are one entity with eleven components and each component having their particular role to play, in Trent’s case he’s a attacking right wing back, that’s his job, other components will cover for Trent in his numerous tirade’s mainly up the right to deliver more often than not precise crosses, cross field passes, millimetre perfect set plays and even the wonder strike at goal,

I do hope that this will explain once and for all why TAA isn’t nor will ever be used as a right sided midfielder, especially under Jürgen Klopp, other lesser being’s who think they know him better will Chuck him on in a position where you won’t have your best players competing at their optimum and therefore fail to get the very best out of them, and will Ultimately lead to failure too, won’t you Gareth ??

Trent’s form this season isn’t purely down to him having a shitty time it’s a combination of things like fatigue and other components not providing adequate cover, and every player no matter who go thru lean spells, like I said we play as a unit no one gets blamed on a individual level, and no one gets the highest praise on a individual level, we are all in this together and it’s why we don’t have the big I am’s or the head swelling egoists f***in it all up and generally being Cnuts !!

I wonder given the solid performance of our back four will Jürgen keep Trent on the bench and bring him on or maybe Milly lay struggle for two games in 3 days.
I dont think we can expect another performance like Sunday that was just perfect and needed to beat City.
Young Carvahlo looked really good when he came on and Nunez pace really caused City problems  so the line up will be interesting to say the least.

Important to carry on the way we played against City on Sunday. Need another allround perfaomance against West Ham tonight, I hope Salah can score and Darwin should start in place of Jota. Not conceding an early goal obviously important.

I have gone for a 3  1 win for the Reds in the prediction league, although a clean sheet would be fine.

It'll be interesting to see how we approach the next few weeks without a natural left sided player. I don't think Nunez is good enough on the ball to play there and Carvalho might lack a bit of pace for that role.

Think we might see a midfield diamond at some point soon given Salah's recent form down the middle.

It will be interesting to see how we adjust.  I think it'll be Nunez and Fabio taking turns on the left of the attack, but we could see Robbo and Tsimi double up at LB/LM.  Or, as you mention, we could see a diamond midfield.  The comforting thing is that we've got quality players to deploy a number of different formations and tactics.

I know its been forced on us, but I'm enjoying the different formations and tactics.
