      Xg Liverpool 2.24 : 2.49 West Ham

Shows how poor we were that second half and frankly lucky to come away with 3 pts.

Not our best performance but will take the points.

Positive was Nunez looked a real threat.

      VVD looked good again also.

Negative was Gomez and Trent looked woeful together.

Win and a clean sheet with a few players out.

We should be happy with that.

First half was decent. Could have been 4 up before the pen. Great save from Ali after a Joe brain fart.

      The subs once again baffling.
Nunez was a huge threat and most likely to score.
With that threat eliminated, hammers got stronger and stronger.
We looked totally disjointed after the first 3 subs, and even more so with the last two.
Millie performed a miracle tackle,  but we made them look a good side. Seemed to lose our shape completely.
Hendo was poor, Trent had his moments, Curtis looked out of his depth, not sure he’s at the right level. Harvey run his nuts off again, Carvalho looks very talented but a bit lightweight.
Fab was poor but seemed to be forced over to the left.

West Ham feeling pleased with how they performed, but we’re there for the taking before we made any changes.
Rotation yeah, but get the game won first, especially when you’re so on top !
Glad of the three points, but we almost gave up 2, and made hammers look like a decent side.
MOTM for me, Ali, brilliant pen save.

Yeah, I think Joe just can't play as well as he can with Trent to the right of him.

100 million? Bang average player hyped up by the press,  if he had chosen to play for Ireland would be worth about 25 million tops.

I said nothing about paying 100 million for him, what are you on about? Don't know that I've hyped him at all, either. It's just my personal take that he's actually a competent box to box midfielder, and I think he'd be starting games for us if he was in our squad.

That being said, I don't think he was MOTM either.

Decent match all around. Lacked the energy that the City match had but all in all not too bad. MOTM was Allison. What can you say he was lit tonight.
The one issue I see is we really seem to be inconsistent. Either were superb for 90' or were ok for 45' and lousy for 45'. The only consistency this team has this season is were inconsistent. Is it fatigue, set up, weakness, substations??? Idk. But were stringing wins on top of wins which is all that counts.

Win ugly, 3 points. Did that so many times last season. Nunez is starting to look the part, got a vicious shot on him, quick as well. Few more games till we see the full picture but positive so far.

How can you when you can't concentrate on your position and the man you are marking. Lost count of the number of times Joe was dragged into the rb position as trent was awol. Its not fair. Got away with it.

Doesn’t help that both are poor under a high ball, not sure of their long term future as a combination.

Had enough control in the first half to have been out of sight. Some sloppy passing, opened the door for them and if not for a great stop we go in 1-1. Second half, I'm guessing due to the effort at the weekend, the players looked tired, and we looked disjointed. All the subs struggled to impact the game with the exception of Milner, who was an example to the rest of them. As others have said we made another bang average side look half decent. Think A few weeks ago we drop points here, but thankfully we managed to grind out a massive 3 points.

Trent is struggling for sure. Is it a lack of courage, he seems to stand off the tackle, that slight delay in going in. Not difficult to go past him. Boss claims he's a good defender that doesn't always defend well. Describing a mid table defender in truth.

Looked stronger against City with Milly at RB, not perfect but better that Trent & Joe. It's going to cost us if he doesn't get his game back.

Great to get a 2nd win on the bounce in the league and another clean sheet. We were terrific in the first half, but the 2nd was poor, and we rode out luck. Jugen's subs also baffled the hell out of me, i couldn't understand why Nunez went off? He ran them ragged and was also our best player in the press all night. Jones was woeful in his place. 4 points off Chelsea in 4th now, it's been a great 7 days, just got to keep it going at Forrest on Saturday. Least some of the players are rested.

Behave Rice absolutely destroyed Fab tonight.
      And it wasn’t pretty

Rice was pretty much non existent until the substitutions. The motm award was laughable

Hopefully it just looks like the Nunez sub was just Jürgen being cautious after he felt a bit in his legs.
