cracking night for the Reds credit were credit is due they dug that one out and earned the right to play good football in the end young Harvey is really a player who works so hard and get little credit but that was a cracking finish

Gets plenty of credit off me Walt. Really rate the lad. Think he’s gonna be a huge player for us 👍

Delighted with the result, and the 2nd half perf [and end of the 1st] was pretty OK.
Shape all over the place in the 1st half, had players popping up in all sorts of positions.
But Ajax weren't great, didn't take that early chance - and we were clinical enough.
Nice play from Hendo to setup Mo for the first, really important goal, and good finish.
Two more good finishes killed the game with half an hr or so left which was great.
Good to see Nunez score, not there yet but his play is improving.
Robbo was really good too, showed more in attack than I think we've seen so far this season.
Hope Hendo is OK, wouldn't be great to have both him and Thiago missing.
Anyway, important win, thro to the knockout, so have that to look forward to.
Back to the bread and butter on Sat ...

And me, can't see why fans give him such a hard time when he is so young and is still outperforming most in our team.

Obviously goals change games, once we got our noses in front the players were unrecognisable from what went before. Fantastic result....credit to the players for turning it round.

Jürgen looks happy I just wish he would distance himself from the media he is far too engaging, and they turn on him should do it like Pep and just grunt and look disinterested.

Elliott is the player who really does excite me - not the finished article yet but has the potential to be a top player

Pickings were really thin for Nunez untill the Bobby chance. Yes he should've put that chance away. I didn't call him over it.   Showed he won't be bullied in the box and goes for it. He made his goal and he'll get better with more minutes under his belt.

40 mins in I'm thinking ok this looks a bit mundane, have to get a few bits myself from the shop at half time, just normal stuff because yeah football can't rule our lives, then I'm glad I didn't go down to the shops because I would have missed the goal and Nunez chance, all three goals were cool Elliot's is the most skillful, bleeding heck man what a great goal it looked like magic, like it was in then not going to be in then was in the net, beautiful goal that. Made up for him, and the other scorers and everyone.

I was really concerned after his injury last season. But Harvey Elliott is slowly becoming the player we thought he would become. His football IQ is massive, his ability to make something from nothing is great. You think the ball is going out and Elliott somehow saves it and puts in a cross from nothing. He has speed, strength on the ball. He plays forward and back and scores goals. He's the full package and he's so young. Hes like a cross between Gerrard and TAA. He is just going to get better and better and we get to see a young player become world class. I can't say enough about him.

Well he's been one of our 3 or 4 most consitent players this season no doubt about that, but I don't see him as either Gerrard or Trent player, surely he should become a pure number 10, I'm no expert.
I'm not into all this fluid formation thing, people should be able to perfect their roles in the team and not interchange at will or given all the freedom ever because at the moment we still look a bit clueless and can't play like we used to do anymore.

Good win, that goal just before half time went to our legs and we were the better team after that.

Big thing is we are through to the next round. Get to sit back and enjoy the draw and hopefully when knockout stage comes around in four months time we will be playing good football and ready to make a deep run.

Darwin scored again. His stats are more than decent, 6 goals and 1 assist in 13 games is very good for a start. In the first half we were as frustrating as we can be. No control in midfield, inability to create when in possession, fortunately our attack is world-class and can exploit weaknesses. It's a win, and any other result would have been a disaster.

Now we need to improve this teal quick to save our season. We need reliable midfielders and a midfield that can dictate the tempo of and control a game. We're simply unable to do it today. Henderson and Fabinho can and should do better.

Robertson, Elliott and Salah were top notch. What an assist by Hendo.

Nervy 35 minutes but Hendo's pass killed the match. What a chip by Salah.
