A rare Saturday night kick off for Liverpool.  The match is on Sky.

Leeds are in the relegation zone which makes them clearly dangerous to us the way we are going about our business recently.

They have four defeats and 1 draw away this season and they have the same record in their last five games.

Putting it simply, there can be no excuses for this one.  Should be three points.

Konate could be back.  Not sure on Thiago yet.  Henderson a doubt.

TAA is still a liability, Ajax didn't expose it, but the PL might not be as forgiving.
Would be good to have Konate back, just hope when he comes back, he stays back this time.
Thiago back would great, so important to us, particularly breaking sides down at home when space at premium in the final 3rd.
Salah's form is up and down, great vs Citeh, not vs Forest, good vs Ajax. But he seems to be getting there.
Nunez has been scoring but his general play has a bit to go, but deffo gives us something a bit different.

We’ll need someone to cover for Trent bombing forward, especially if Hendo is oot, Konate will I imagine get some minutes but I’d start with Joe, hope Thiago starts also but I’d rather he comes off the bench just to run the rust off, then release him V Napoli, I’d go with the same X1 V Ajax if Hendo makes it, but it’s entirely possible we’ll see Milner in his stead if he doesn’t, don’t want to see Curtis either, just don’t do enough for me,

This lineup is fine I guess, but what I really like is the last line. We mustn't risk any of our injury-prone players against Napoli.

Great rivals esp in the Don Revie era. Was on the Kop the day dozy Sprake threw the ball into his own net. He always did a sort of round arm throw out but this time he just held on to it a split second too long and threw it behind him. Hilarious.

Great memories. One of her cousins in a big Leeds fan. Goes from Cork over to Elland Rd on a regular basis. I wind him up every time we thrash them. Eddie Gray was my favourite out of their great 60's early 70's team. Lorimer as well. They could play but put the boot in just as quick. Bremner was a swine, Charlton as well but it's a great footballing City and I'd prefer if they stayed up.

Johnny Giles ,Alan Clarke all these top players creating memorable games and seasons whilst not earning a fortune its a reminder that if the money goes games will still happen and still mean as much and the crowds will still be very passionate about supporting their clubs

25000 in the Kop against 12000 now I think. However I think the atmosphere is now generated right around the ground which is great and whilst Leeds are not the team they were the History is still there between the two clubs. Giving them a good hiding will feel just the same. They have the same arrogance as a club as UTD have and its nice to bring them back down to earth

So glad we are at home. Should be a home win if the boys fancy it.
