I'll be honest, a big part of me wants an oil-rich state to buy us. As you say, ideally, it will be a case of FSG remaining to run the club off the field and an investor coming on board and funding the transfer deals on the pitch. Win-win.

They may may have no choice in the end, like someone's has said previously if they get offered £400Bill for something they bought for £300mill its a case of bite their hands off.

      i don't think they'll be getting offered 400B....maybe 4B :)

The team may be worth 3-4 Billion today but in 5 years it will be worth more. These sports teams are only going to continue to go up in value as more and more money enters the sport.

If the intent to buy a NFL team is true, then i think that necessitates the full sale of the LFC. The Washington Commanders, the team i have heard rumored FSG wanting to buy, is valued at almost USD $5B

Serious investors are going to want full control of the club.

Think we will see a full sale or nothing.

Flip-flopping all over the place. Though whether that's to do with FSG changing their minds or web site owners going for the 'clicks', I don't know. I suspect the latter. Frustrating, either way.

I suspect it’s always the click bait - the owners have been very consistent that their main choice is bringing in investment and selling a stake first

Why would any investor want to buy part of the club and not have any control of what they are investing in.

Isn't this the NFL team FSG are allegedly interested in?

Because they then own a significant part of the a very lucrative sports team 🤷‍♂️

Yes they may own a significant part of a club but as you keep insisting FSG are not making or taking a profit so what’s the point in owing a part of a club you have no control or any profit

Future value - invest £1bn now for 25% of the club prob worth more later , and it could be the start of gradual takeover

Think some.Saudi companies were dumping toxic waste into Qatar's water supply or something like that.  Just a little neighborhood tiff.

So are we thinking now this is leaning more toward outside/new investment in the club rather than an outright sale? That's what I took from the Boston Globe article (best source of all re FSG).

It started due to Al jazeera. They criticised Saudi government or Royal family, then Saudis wanted Qatar to close or put pressure on Al jazeera. Which Qatar refused.

They are back to normal relations again.

Because they could just sit back, let FSG do the work and make the profit.

Apparently FSG are going for a new 4bn NBA franchise based in Vegas which adds more weight to a full sale.

If a a new NBA franchise is worth 4B then we have to be worth well north of that…..

I am having a lot of trouble comprehending this situation.

There are buyers out there for Aston Villa, Everton, Newcastle and Chelsea.

Yet the biggest Club in the world comes up for sale and all we get are crickets and tumbleweed?

Something isn't right here and for the life of me, i cannot figure it out.

The aroma of salmon is in the air.

Do you know many with £6bn burning a hole in their pocket

And I also suspect the owners are actually looking more at investment first

I'm sure when the original announcement was made, Warner was quoted as saying there was no timescale on the sale or investment coming in.

That would suggest you're getting your knickers in a twist over nothing.

And what buyers are out there for the blueshite? I'd love to know!!
