I think the fact two clubs have bid for him at the same time would suggest he is very much available for the right price.

As you said I think 25-30m would do it. Might help fund the contract renewals!

Can't see us getting 30m maybe 20m with 5m.addons . Could well be the compromise

I would take 15M with a buy back clause. He is 19 so I would let him be at Crystal Palace for 3 years and if he very good, take him back when he's 21-22 Years old.

I'd like us to keep Doak. He is very talented for his age.

Feels like this is potentially more about Arne having no money to spend and this is purely to raise some spends.

600k to buy him and 20plus million to sell him. Thats good business. But I would keep him. He could be worth much more to us down the road on the field itself.

If he goes there better be a buy back clause or a bloody good sell on clause… kid looks the real deal.

I'd bring him back for the rest of the season. There's a danger he could get played too much at Middlesborough and end up with injury issues. Still very young and needs protected.

      (Wouldn't sell him.)

Nah, let him stay at boro, Carrick seems quite sensible

Can’t be that sensible, he chose to manage Middlesbrough.

Club has got most of these calls right in recent years. I think £25m with a buyback would probably give us something to think about, although personally I would be quite happy to see him continue with his development at Middlesbrough and then see where we are in the summer.

Another assist today in vintage Doak fashion.

Extra £5m added to his pricetag.

      Another assist for Doak today.

Always a thrilling watch and always has the beating of his fullback.

Doak might be out for the rest of the season after needing surgery. This is why we should have brought him back at xmas. Cos he's one of their best players, a side like Middlesbrough will tend to play him constantly regardless of his age. And cos he's on loan they won't give much of a sh*t what it does for him long term.

Anyway, hopefully he recovers well and is back with us 100% fit again next season.

A huge shame for him as it was enjoyable following his progress. His 2nd big injury in 2 years, these are often career killers for these young lads. It'd be a worry if he's not back in time for pre-season with us....take someone like Danns, it'd be difficult to map out how the next 12 months would look ofr them.
