Think working with Carrick who has done a good job at Boro will still be a good experience for him.

Interested to see how he does.

      Aye good experience either way.

I accidentally came across a post on my twitter feed yesterday from a Boro fan saying this kid might be better than Salah, so I assumed he had a decent game yeah.

A well deserved MOTM display, a constant threat. Set up the Scots only real chance in the first half and the winning goal late on all came from his relentless to get past his man.

Been absolutely outstanding for Scotland every time he's had the jersey. Boro fans love him........hopefully we get back a real threat in summer.

He is, have a quick glance every now and then - Boro fans rave about him every week. Won a pen in their last game. He’s undroppable for them and they’ve probably haven’t seen anyone like him playing there for years.

Been watching the Boro Hull game, another electricfying performance from the wee oaky Doaky. Beaten his man at will.....counted at least 8 separate occassions. Best player on the pitch by some considerable margin and rounded off his performance his 2 assists, unlucky not to have scored too, had his header well saved.

Should we try everything we can to get him back??

I'd really want to but on the basis that we let him rest a bit and continue to build him up / work on his core fitness.

He came back from some nasty injuries and for someone so young and gifted you don't want to overlay him at this stage of his career. The great Liverpool sides always needs a Scot in there and there's nothing I'd love more than to see this fella lead the line and rip it up.

I think he's getting valuable experience up at the Boro.

I don't think he'd want to come back right now if he was given the choice. Looks to be loving playing regular first team football for club and country.

I wouldn’t personally and I don’t think there’s a chance we will either. We have enough with our forward line with Jota and Chiesa returning soon.

Let him continue building his profile with regular game time and see if he can help the Boro with promotion. He’d also be giving himself a better shot at first team with us if he continues what he’s doing all season.

As far as I can tell, Ben Doak has a trick, he pulls the fullback in then turns him and he's off and away at terrific speed. He's always been doing that. I watched some of his Middlesboro highlights, and he is still doing that. But that is not enough to build a career at Liverpool.
I've nothing against the lad, and I hope he gets better but I haven't seen it yet.
I said it last season, he's Championship standard at best...
Good luck to the lad. Hopefully we make a pretty penny on him transfer wise...

Unfortunately I don't see him make it at an elite team like Liverpool...

He has a bright future ahead of him if he finds a way to add something to the pace

He can go down the Walcott route or the Bale route

Both had terrific pace as promising youngsters - Bale looked at developing his game and adding more

Walcott just thought his pace woold be enough

We really are trying to bring in as much money as possible and lower wages these two windows.

I think the fact two clubs have bid for him at the same time would suggest he is very much available for the right price.

As you said I think 25-30m would do it. Might help fund the contract renewals!
