We were decent in spells but not a great sign when your keeper is winning MOTM at home to Southampton.

Still no damage done yesterday and we can only hope the month off sees us come back a better team that can sustain a top four challenge and a run in Europe.

Allison did make some good saves but him getting Motm doesn’t mean it was touch and go etc

Nunez is definitely not a flop. Was criticiezd for his first touch and passes which were not world class but the guy is a natural striker, right?
He is very direct and in last year's team, he would have score much more already. TAA is still finding back his feet.

Happy for Firmino, the national team has never truly appreciated him. I think it's up to him now to show that they were wrong. At the same time I think Firmino has declined a lot since 2 years although he has been very important this season, but I also think it's very unfair that Richarlison or Anthony are going to the WC but not him.

It's the 2 from the 9 thats really cost us though. 6 against Leeds and Forest and it would look much better. Criminal really to get zero points there.

Be a tough one on the restart on boxing day at villa too.

Watched Villa's last two games and they will be a strong team for the rest of the season.

I think we said that during the last month off. Didn't work out that way.

We shouldn't be hoping to finish fourth, we should be expecting to finish in the top 4. Even that doesn't make it a great season. When you're expected to go for the title, finishing in the top 4 is no consolation.

I was back in residence for the game, experiencing the Anfield Road for the first time, and probably the last time before it's dug up. I was there an hour before ko, and half an hour later, George announced the City result, which went down well. Atm we're 10 points back, and it will take another run similar to last season to reel them in. But if we can, we might just have something to play for when we go to Southampton on the last day of the season.
