Cpouple of weeks holiday then Its a training camp with 2 friendlies.

They need to do something cant have the lads sitting about for 6 weeks.

      Agree.

I hope we have the balance right. Can't do nothing but too intense could lead to issues after January.

Pretty sure they will be on top of the fitness stuff.

Also cant let them do too little, we need to fit and firing for the 2nd half of season.

Fair point, keep the players fit for the second half of the season. There is plenty to play for including the CL.

Bound to pick up injuries in these 'friendly' games. I can understand why they want to play them like ... but can't help but think they'll end up doing more harm than good. Seems to be about money more than anything else. Hope the lads enjoy their break and come back refreshed.

Funny little formula. 2 points for a volley 3 for a header and 5 for a scorpion kick.

I think a couple of friendlies, with liberal substitutions, can be a plus. Otherwise it's more than a month with no match and nearly a month of only training. A couple of games will blend well with all the training. This team can find ways to be injured whether or not we play matches.

      Dubai super cup.

      Three points for a win
      Two for a draw.....

And a pen shootout after both games no matter the score with a bonus point for winners of the pens.

I saw this. Silly. Pray the FA don't get any ideas and start using this format 🤣

Why are we going there to play friendlies? This is what a normal person asks, so why are we? Oh money ah yeah I haven't got much at the moment but lets still buy a Liverpool shirt for 80 quid, nah to be fair actually the replica shirts in the Lfc Williamson Square shop are a good price, I just never wear Liverpool stuff even though I love them. I was surprised they do the replica crown paints candy etc ones in there even that weird Fowler Macca beige one. Cool. Omg btw the white kit we have is even more disgusting when you see it up close, vomit fuel.

Warm weather training and a couple of friendlies to keep the remaining players fit is the answer the normal person would receive!! ;)

And the news from Pearce is that Luis Diaz is fit and able to begin training immediately.

      Some other items:

Players given option of flying with the team or meeting them in Dubai. Harvey Elliott and Calvin Ramsey have opted for the latter, and were  spotted on the beach recently.

Darwin given a week off after Uruguay's exit from World Cup.

Diego Jota will fly w the team, but only to continue his rehab which will take until February (at least)..

       ;D

The article says he and Matip are both ready for full training. If they start training Monday (today), that gives them a week before the first friendly on the 11th. There should be a betting line on whether Naby is fit to play that day.
