Alonso getting tetchy about rumours that he could join Red Bull.

Keith - Max and Alonso in the same team. Thoughts?? Pretty much your team from hell isn't it??  >:D >:D

This year Iā€™ve mellowed towards Alonso and genuinely pleased he was doing well. However, Iā€™d love him to team with Max for one very very good reason? IT WOULD KICK OFF BIG TIME. 😂

Wouldnā€™t be long before they hated each other and I could just see them both getting their handbags out.   :lmao: Another good reason as it would mean Norris not joining them. Iā€™m pretty sure I can speak for us both and say thatā€™s a massive relief.

No doubt itā€™s all bullshit with the usual media doing what they do best. 🤦ā€ā™‚ļø

Yeah, Danny Ric is a much more likely option at this stage for that second seat. He's got the wind in his sails does Danny - he can sense an opportunity to get back into a race winning team as he displayed in Mexico last weekend!

Heā€™s arguably the most liked driver on the circuit and comes across very well in the media.  If there is a change a Red Bull realistically Danny is the only option for now. Just please please under any circumstances donā€™t let our own Norris go. 😂 Iā€™d been vomiting supporting Norris in a Red Bull. 🤮

Yeah - he's the one guy who can challenge Max long term but he's better having his own team to do it. Stick with McLaren.

How you feeling about Toto potentially getting involved with Radcliffe's Man Utd stake bid? It's Wolff's leadership of a successful sporting outfit, knowing what's required to succeed that would probably make it one of the better appointments Man Utd would make if it happens.

Rather Toto than Horner for sure 😂

I honestly donā€™t know what to think mate. I donā€™t know whatā€™s best for the club. I did want to become  an Oily as you know for no other reason than they may bring success as well as clearing out debts. Not forgetting the money they would put in towards a new stadium or improving OT.

I just think with Radcliffe & Co itā€™s going to take a lot longer if indeed at all to be fighting for the PL again. Itā€™s looking further and further away, music to your ears. 😂

Cool by Alonso. Abysmal by Mercedes - serious questions at technical level need to be asked on the basis of that dire performance. Possibly one of the worst race displays they've ever had since they entered the sport in 2010.

Mercedes are so slow. Even on newer tyres Hamilton was just left behind today. Don't seriously see them doing anything next year either. Hamilton winning another race let alone a title seems impossible in that team in its current state.

Would love to see Alonso in a Red Bull for the pure drama that would inevitably unfold during the season.
At least it would be interesting.

Well I'm 100% behind Max on this one. His words of '99% entertainment, 1% sport' ring louder given the farce of not having the drain covers fixed down properly. Liberty would not have liked what the star man said about their big event but he endears with such attitude.

The whole spectacle will have to go some to surpass the cringefest of the first Miami GP last year but no doubt Liberty and Sky here in the UK will do their best. Half expect Martin Brundle to do his gridwalk in full Elvis jumpsuit and quiff - just for 'the bantz'.

Sad thing is though mate thatā€™s the way the sport is going, donā€™t like it myself and you can be sure the powers that be wonā€™t like take kindly to his outburst. Hopefully a 100 point reduction fourth coming. 😂

Just watched the qualifying, got to the track looks like it's on a building site.

MV 2nd, I wonder if he'll try to push J leC into the wall at the start as he usually does.

Politically correct response to 2023 season would be to hail the amazing effort of Verstappen and that Red Bull car.

But the prevailing feeling is dismay - what an utterly dire season of f1. Unless the FIA steps in and does a last minute regulation change ala 2005 and the one tyre rule that wrecked Ferrari, then we can expect more of the same for next year.

You say ala 2005 but even before 2021 they cut the floor corners to slow Mercedes down.
If they wanted to slow Red Bull they could revise the floor edges, which Red Bull have developed more.

Must I be politically correct and agree with you. 🤦ā€ā™‚ļø😂😂 No doubt this kunt is an incredible driver and itā€™s a pity there isnā€™t another car/driver that could give him a run. Hamilton in the same car would beat him.

In total agreement with you racer, letā€™s hope something happens as F1 is no longer enjoyable because we have an arrogant tw@t driving and Horner only wanting to knock anything Toto says/does.

Red Bull wielded far too much influence in the last couple of seasons.
Would the FIA have gone against their own rules and hobbled Hamilton if they'd known the next two seasons would have been a snore fest in favour of Red Bull.

Good shout - that was the low / high rake ruling wasn't it?

Well the FIA have set the precedent - what they going to do for Red Bull? These sort of rulings bit and ended Ferrari and Mercedes dominance in 2005 and 2021. We're all waiting...

Yeah the change pushed cars towards high rake, where Mercedes had traditionally run low rake.

A poignant reminder of just how strong red bull are in the operations room where known of us are privy to. Iā€™ve always thought something was wrong which put the Mercs on the back foot.

Will FIA even up the playing field ? I can only wish they do but wonā€™t hold my breath.
