Would it make a difference if the rain came? I donā€™t think it will change the result.

Got to give it to Max its his time, unless the Red Bull becomes a shitbox even if Mercedes or whoever make their car competitive I just think its now his prime time. The shitty circumstances of his first championship will never be forgotten but there is no doubt he is one talented driver.

Just watched the highlights and enjoyed that one even with Max sailing off into the distance.

I always enjoy Spielberg now, more than I remember back in the day, and they really seem to have done a good job putting on a show at that circuit now

The Silverstone crowd can never be bettered. Consistently the best event on the f1 calendar the last decade or so. Pure racing, pure thrills, pure passion. A world away from the sterilised sh*t holes of Abu Dhabi and the likes.

Hey!!!! Don't be calling my Abu Dhabi  ;D I might be at this years in November mate.

Silverstone is different gravy though, even though that kunt tried to spoil it. Hope Lando goes one better tomorrow but can only see that if tw@tty has a in counter on the track.

Even if someone poked their front wing into his tyre and caused him a puncture, I reckon Mac would still win such is the supreme pace advantage in that car. It's a desperate season, which no amount of America styled PR pizzazz can get around. But I'm still watching this afternoon.

I deplore you to find my post from 2017 when he won Euro F3 saying I'd put money on him becoming f1 world champion  :o...though in fairness I'm still waiting for it. But he will get it when given a championship winning car.

George has a title in him as well for sure. If I were Ferrari team principal, I'd bust my balls trying to get Lando, if I couldn't get Max. Leclerc's showing himself up the 12 months.

Yeah given the car I couldnā€™t agree more. I just remember you saying you thought Russell was just that bit quicker and I thought otherwise 🤣

Pretty sure I've maintained Lando to be quicker. In terms of raw talent, he's the one Max needs to be most worried about over the next 10 years or so. Though I have thought Russell showed a higher level of maturity and professionalism outside the car though that endears him to his team and mechanics. Lando has professionalism and is mature but always thought he could tone down the screaming school boy antics that are funny outside the car but didn't load me with great confidence when it comes to that key aspect of maturity.

I must of been mistaken pal, must of been one of the other regular posters on the F1 thread apologies. Youā€™re right though about his antics out of the car but definitely maturing a bit more now. I just pray he doesnā€™t go to RB because Iā€™d struggle not to support him. 🤢

You might be right to a point - there was probably a point last season where I made a point about Russell's 1 lap /quali pace where I'm not sure if there's too much of a gap. Only say so given his efforts in Williams and how he's closely matches Lewis since becoming team mate, which says a lot. In terms of raw talent though, Lando's always had it.

I'd be astounded if Lando somehow ended up at Red Bull, all the more if Max was still there which you'd expect for the next two years at least. Only one man that matters at Red Bull and if they dared try giving the se obd driver a bit of kudos and attention you'd expect the same slanderous behaviour from Max's mob as they did to Perez last season.

Cracking performance from Lando that but what about Piastri, his car doesn't have all the upgrades yet and but for a bit of safety car luck would have been on the podium too. Future is looking bright for Mclaren but then again it was looking bright for Aston Martin not so long ago, the race behind Verstappen is a great one.

after the crap shoot from last week this whole GP has been superb and its only one of 2 that are not state funded.
PLeased Hamilton got on the podium he wasnt happy being 3rd Brit on the grid and Lando brought McClaren back to where they belong along with Piastri.
