It's not a market that's going to turn our fortunes around.

No but can be part of the puzzle.

Wasn't Lemar heavily rumored to come here after the Coutinho fiasco as his replacement? What a waste for him (and Joao Felix) to go to Atletico.

wow. worth a punt on at least 2 of them.

If the club got Lemar and Luiz it would make life a lot easier for one big signing.
Especially with Firmino, Ox, Keita & Milner all in the final season of their contract.

Lemar is still only 26 , no idea how he has got on in Madrid though

It's called smart business. Italian clubs do it all the time.
One marquee signing supplemented by smart signings of players at the end of contract.
Not every club is State owned and can offer obscene money the way City and PSG do.

And f**k your use of a food bank reference in this context.

How on earth would that offend anyone you dafty?

The Italians use that market because they cannot compete with the money in the PL. They also end up paying huge wages instead.

The last time one of those clubs did anything of use in the champions league?

Nah its not a market we should be looking at. Full of old boys, the injury prone or trouble makers.

My tolerance of ignorant cu*ts is at an all time low.
Guess I'll stay off the forum for the season given the calibre of contributor.

Unfortunately smart signings don’t satisfy some - needs to be expensive and marquee only

You are spot on - and it works , we have brought in a lot of under the radar for smart money

And why is that, because they've already been down the route the Premier League is heading with the obscene amounts being spent by clubs.
