What is it with people looking to find ways to slag  off players after a match

Judge him when he has had a full pre season

      This....
There's a player in there, hopefully next season, we see him unleashed. He's some athlete, just needs to fine tune himself. I'm very hopeful he will...

High on Grav, but he put in a sticker yesterday. Makes sense, he's been out for a while. Great with the ball at his feet moving forward. Been in and out this season. Needs some continuity in the team

Not really seeing what the big problem with him is. He's not been brilliant but he's not been terrible either. Not had many games and just back from injury - cut him a bit of slack ffs.

He was incredibly lucky to get a start ahead of Elliott but fluffed his lines again.

I suspect bar another midfield injury crisis we won't see much of him in the remaining games so it's crucial he hits the ground running in pre-season under the new manager.

Now we know why he doesn't get a game.

out of his depth, no wonder Tuchel didn't rate him.

is he not coming back from injury?

Some fans always do this. I find it very weird. Completely kneejerk every single time. They did this with Gomez, they did it with Matip, they did it with Mane (till his contract was running out, then it was the end of the world if he left). They did this with Endo, they did it with Jota last season when he was coming back from injury and scored like 1 in 6 games, they did it with Gakpo (some still do it), they do it with Luis Diaz and now theyre doing it with Ryan. I think people just enjoy trashing players. Fair play to them i guess.

There is no "They" there's only "Us"... and some, if not all of us... from time to time will criticise a player for any number of reasons...it's an open forum for people to pass on their views.....what anyone says has no baring on the club...none...they're just words given as honest opinions...you must have hammered a player at some point....You need to dismount your moral high horse.

Preseason is important fella. I think he will benefit from one this summer. He came in at the death and jibbed off international duty to try and hit the ground running.

Bobby firmino didnt exactly pull trees up early on in his time here. It happens.

I dont know if grav makes it here. But its too early to make any judgments. Football is as mental as it is physical. I dont think hes fully settled. A new manager, a preseason, abit of confidence and a feeling that he belongs here can go along way.

Sink or swim. Here's to him embracing the competition and laying claiming to a regular spot.

Gravenberch has a good game, scored a great goal. Zero new comments on this thread.

Trust me, if we had drawn this game or lost and he had played poorly, this thread would be bumped to the top of the page.

You claim i'm on a 'moral high horse'. But the fact is, some people on here are prone to hyperbole, negativity and knee jerk reactions.

Thats not a moral high horse, its a factual observation about the mentality of too many on here.

Cracking hit. Was so happy for him when he hit the back of the net.

Hopefully this kick starts him, bit late but might kick on from this, we shall wait and see.

      Superb goal. Chuffed for him.

Classy on the ball, had an amazing turn in him to get away from players.

Confidence will be up after his goal.

Nice headache for the manager having grav on form

He was having a good game in that first half, maybe didn't get as many touches on the ball as he'd have liked but his ability is there for all to see. He has great skill is letting the ball do the work, selling dummies and letting the ball run across the player closing him down.

Klopp could've changed it at HT and brought him off, very glad he didn't (although was a little disappointed when he eventually did - should've been Harvey for me) and it was pleasing to see the same XI who could've let their head drop after that sucker punch on HT, come out and retake control immediately in the 2nd half.

The goal solidified a very good game from Grav and his build up to Jota's goes unnoticed too, letting the ball run across his body and picking the pass to Gakpo through the lines.

He's 21. Everyone should be getting behind the lad.

Thank you!!!! FFS he's still a kid already had the pressure of trying to make it at one of the biggest clubs in the world and now he's with us and there's no use to expect him to be Steven Gerrard all of the sudden. Like you mentioned, he's very slick with the ball and at times his tackles are quite the enjoyment as his long legs let him get the ball when you think there's no chance. He's very aware of his body positioning and uses it well. I could honestly see him turning into another Gini for us as he matures.

He improved so much in just the little bit of time after the goal. He was working around the box and we started looking dangerous. Kid got the rob after that goal. Need to keep it going.

Love him running with the ball
