They are two different type of fullbacks and when Bradley has played we havenā€™t noticed Trent isnā€™t there - they both have different qualities on and off the ball and if Trent did leave then Bradley would step in and we would still challenge

I definitely noticed Trent wasn't there. I don't think you can unequivocally say "we". What you should have said is "you" don't notice it. To each their own.

      I've noticed as well.

Bradley is, as we all agree, a different type of full back , and because of that I notice when Trent isn't there as you don't get that extra bit of creativity from the position.

Bradley will run up and down that line all day long, will try and win his battles with his forward and will have a decent impact in the final third at times. Much more akin to Robbo on the other side.

Trent even when he plays the role much more traditionally by staying wider still offers a world of different possibilities from the position

Sums up my personal opinion probably better than I could communicate it. Love Bradley, but I feel like at best he's a really good stand in, but we should shoot for someone a little higher quality that can be closer to a like for like replacement should Trent move on.

Obviously I would like Trent to stay, although no player is bigger than the club, especially LFC.

      Treating as purely speculation atm.

When I say ā€œweā€ I mean the club

And the results both this season and last season when he has played show that ā€œweā€ as a club havenā€™t been affected by Bradley coming in to replace Trent

You don't speak for the club. So there's that.

Was at the game yesterday and thought he was sloppy in possession, killer passes aside.

I do think his head has been turned and the least likely of the three with 7 months left to sign, just a gut feeling.

Played fine Trent. First game back from an injury and solid enough. People see what people want to see where hes concerned.

He did what Trent can do but thought he was a bit more solid defending - only really remember Doku getting past him once , he did have a few lazy passes but prob more down to being rusty

Oh, so you don't want to be taken literally. I guess you should specify from now on when "we" can take your posts literally and when "we" shouldn't.

Bradley is a far better all round full back for me. He was all over mbappe and I think he would have had a much happier night if he had been up against arnold.

Bradley was also outstanding going forward. Assisted, almost scored and was a menace to that madrid back line all night.

Trent has that world class pass/set piece/free kick in him ... no doubt about that. But for me its no competition who the better all round full back is. I'd like to see trent stay ... captain one day ... but if i had to lose one of the 3 it would be him all day everyday and twice on sunday and with bradley we would be no worse off. So much more to come from Bradley imo.

But I hope all 3 of them stay ... but  cant see it with fsg ... cant even see them paying out for 2 of them.

If Trent do leave surely he will be 'missed', and a big missed one. But what if he want to leave?
I'm not clearly  remember last season or maybe a season before that we all enjoyed a period of the like of a young boy Conor Bradley do his best while TAA absent. If finally Conor found to be not good enough then there are thousands of players we will searching and get in. Players come and go the club exist there so I'm not care that much of player leaving.
Better players than TAA left and LFC still there. But I could sincerely say I would be happier if he finally stay :)

I think you're crazy Don mate.

Even on his worst day Trent is the better full back and for me it isn't even close to debatable.

Bradley is a cracking young player, Trent is a once in a generation talent.

People need to realise some players just canā€™t be replaced like for like. Realistically youā€™re not going to find someone to replicate what a Salah or a Trent does. Is there another full back out there with a wand of a right foot that Iā€™ve not heard of?

Different players have different strengths and, while I wouldnā€™t like to lose Trent, I have a lot of faith in what Bradley could bring this team as our starting right back. You canā€™t always replace a player like for like but you can adapt as a team. Thereā€™s a reason that Trent creates so many opportunities, and not just because is a great player. He gets a lot of the ball, more than your average full back, because we know what he can do with it.

So in other words, if it comes to it, we need to replace his output but not necessarily at right back. We need to adapt the way we play a little and find someone, within the squad or out with, that can step up and provide that creativity from a different area of the pitch.

Itā€™s just two different types of fullbacks

There arenā€™t many in any position better on the ball than Trent - for a team on the front foot he is superb

Bradley is a copying of Robbo - he canā€™t ping balls all over the park like Trent but he can get overlap and get up and down as best as the rest

Trent is a better player than Bradley - they are just different types of full backs

Oh I get that they're different types of fullback, that's a given.

Just I think Trent is a better fullback all day long

Think itā€™s closer than what it was last year and the emergence of Bradley has allowed a different player there

I thought Trent played well yesterday considering it's his first game after a relatively short time out with injury. Defensively he was pretty good, some killer passes but also some casual short passes that allowed City to gain possession in dangerous areas.

Ideally we want 2 quality players in every position so if he signs an extension we are sorted at RB for a few seasons.
Personally, I think Trent should start ahead of Bradley but it's close. Similar to Szoboszlai or Jones, maybe Arne has to start choose the RB depending on the opposition.
