Listening to redmen tv it was pointed out that top 4 sides that are not challengers tor the title. Play sh*te most weeks and win more games than they lose, its just mediocre and bery frustrating- imagine being a spurs fan? Well thats we are at - 4 wins in the prem 2 very lucky and one proper beating- getbused to it until we change the whole midfield.

Yeah but they're the ones who put the club up for sale so like them or lump them it's a cloud hanging over us. Until we are bought out, invested in or taken off the market its another ? hanging over the club.

      What cloud ?

Why should there be a cloud hanging over us if the club are looking for investment?

The blame game right now is intense

Klopp , Ljinders , Edwards , Ward , FSG , Henderson , Elliot , Ox - all the target of abuse on social media right now

We have had ups and downs over the decades , itā€™s almost as if right now fans canā€™t handle when the team has a drop in form.

We have been through these periods before with Klopp and he turns it around

His style is intense and itā€™s not surprising that the players at some point with flag

The question is do we trust Klopp and his squad to go on a run - well I do

If people canā€™t handle teams having drops in form then they should just pick another sport

Lots of games , lots of points to play for - letā€™s no write off the season just yet

So depressing - just feels like our season is over.

This comes immediately after VvD big mouthed about it being a crazy season and aspiring to go for the title etc.. I wish the players keep their trap shut and do the talking on the field.

We should try Gakpo as striker and just play Nunez as LW.

Some weird F***ing decisions in this club. Why didn't we buy Gakpo in the summer instead of Nunez and just bought 2 midfielders or 1 good one instead ? Why waste such a huge fee on someone that is unreliable in a league where 1 off season means outside of the top 4 ?

Not sure if Klopp has wrote this season off and is just praying we scrape Top 4. But F**k me how many injuries- its 2 a game plus at least one personal reason a month.
The injuries are not down to intensity- thats obvious. Leeds ran us off the pitch and we looked like old men

Because until there is a resolution then the club is in a state of flux. I dont think it's too controversial to state that it would be better to get that particular issue resolved.

There's a world of difference between a new investor and a new owner. It would be nice for all concerned to know if we are going in to next summer with a sell to buy budget, a 30m budget or a 300m.

Leeds did. We've got so many problems ... but one of the main ones in my eyes is that Brentford wanted it more last night. They ran harder, further and gave everything and we didn't seem to have the desire.

A few years ago nobody liked playing us. Hard to break down, Relentless in the press and ruthless week in week out. We had teams beat before the game and beaten on the pitch by half time. We were a machine. What we are now is very depressing.

We have to keep going ... but I see Brighton being all over us and too good for us next up.

Jota Gapko and Diaz  will undoubtedly make a difference. But with our defence and midfield as it is I'm not sure where we will be when they are all available other than nowhere near the top 4.

I really hoped the break would make a difference. We're just as bad now as we were before the break.

FSG have always said the same message , continually looking for outside investment they arenā€™t ā€œactivelyā€ looking to sell the club but if someone who they see is the right person comes in with the right offer then they may consider selling and none of that happens overnight

We discussed this lack of desire to put in the hard yards in the prematch thread. It's becoming more obvious now. The work ethic is just not there. The level of intensity didn't improve that much even when we went behind.

The high press was our trade mark, now we are a shadow in terms of the high intensive press. Problem is is that there is no easy fix. If the engine is knackered then the scrapyard beckons.

I agree it isn't isn't excuse for bad performance on the pitch. I disagree it isn't an issue that needs resolving for the good of the club.

I see some people blaming FSG for not getting Klopp players that would fit in his system. Thatā€™s fair. However, itā€™s also Kloppā€™s job to lay out a system that gives the team the best chance to win with the players that he DOES have. Does Klopp deserve any blame for trying to fit a square peg into a round hole?

The system is there,it needs the players to make it work. Unfortunately with injuries etc it's no longer working.

The fact the midfield has been left the way it has is tbh criminal.

Our transfer record wasn't luck. Klopp sold assets for good money and brought in the players whom could play the way he wanted to play. We worked smart in the market because we had to ... which wasn't a bad thing.

The problem now is that he's no assets left to sell to raise himself some spends and the team is ageing with a number leaving on free transfers it seems.

So with no money coming in for them he isn't going to have alot of options to replace them. We still haven't replaced wijnaldum.

The middle paragraph is bang on the money.

Remember, it's always someone else's fault.

That the best defender in the sport makes elementary errors....not his fault. It's because we didn't get a midfielder. His player thread has been bone dry since end of November, because you know,  not his fault.

That Trent has forgotten to defend. Not his fault....It's FSG's

That one of the top DM's in the world, still in his prime years, can't recover the ball from a kid is not his fault, either.

It's the same story every time the team has a down season.

Cos they've been slogged to the bone in the last couple of seasons.

The fact we've been able to compete with city this long has been a miracle.

We haven't got the quality of replacements like city have!!

Reading some of the sh*te posted above might give some a indication that this forum is getting worse, sadly one of the reasons I myself donā€™t post so much theses days, I for one cannot remember so many glory hunting morons spouting sh*te like this ever,

Weā€™re not a f***in play station game, weā€™re a living, breathing , sporting outfit stuck in between the old and the new, in case you didnā€™t know or care, weā€™ve been in existence since 1892, that is the best part of 130 seasons of ups and f***in downs and everything in between,

Anything new here, anything we havenā€™t experienced before, of course there isnā€™t 130 reasons of seasons gone by for decades tells us all that, F**k me, we even got relegated once, that wonā€™t happen again but what will happen is that from time to time no matter who is Boss, who we have in a squad we will have to go thru transitional periods where performance levels hit a new low, or like we have all been glorifying in the last five years of rock N roll football, bringing success in every competition we have entered, in short, the team that Klopp built, needs rebuilding, and that ladies and glory hunters is what is happening now, right now !!!.

      ā€¦..IT CANā€™T LAST FOREVER!!ā€¦ā€¦..

There is no magic formula that guarantees success, the formula comes when you have all the right components in place and you start working as team, like a machine, and some machines, in fact Iā€™ll rephrase that, all machines will need new components to keep the f**ker running smoothly, without glitches, without grumbles & groans , without hiccups, and with machines with new components their a different animal with different characters and different little nuances that werenā€™t there before,

Right now some new components have been added already, some are on order and some we will need but we just donā€™t f***in know yet, some we will need and donā€™t get, some we already have but either donā€™t need anymore or in fact have ran their course and obviously need replacing ,

This is Liverpool FC right now, this where JĆ¼rgen is right now, do you glory hunter lot think JĆ¼rgen doesnā€™t know what heā€™s doing?
Do you think he himself as a component needs replacing?
Do you think he has lost it now and needs to change the whole system?

Iā€™m not expecting any answers to those Qā€™s because thatā€™s like asking the Captain of the Titanic if he likeā€™s iceberg lettuce  !!

No doubt now weā€™ll get all the regurgitated sh*te about its FSGā€™s fault, they should have given Klopp Millions more, we should have bought this fella last summer or why did we sign this bloke when we needed two of these blokes, ā€¦..It isnā€™t, they didnā€™t, they couldnā€™t, we needed, we canā€™t,

Every football club go thru transitional periods, some donā€™t have to like the Fraudsters they can just buy whoever whenever, so there is no period of transition for them, or indeed for any state funded or Oligarchs plaything,

Look at Arse, look where they were a couple of seasons back, and look at where they are now, they were in a right sh*t state but it didnā€™t last too long and now, with a new manager, a new system, a new positive approach and a sh*t load of new components incorporated into a new chassis, they are becoming a very well oiled machine, and they are certainly no flash in the pan,

Itā€™s not pretty to watch, itā€™s hair tearing out frustration, itā€™s so annoying, itā€™s sometimes humiliating, and itā€™s simply not good enough, not just last night but all season, Iā€™ve said this before Iā€™ll say it again, Covid HAS set us back two years minimum, thatā€™s at least three transfer windows, thatā€™s minimally three opportunities to bring in the players we need for the rebuild, now two years may not seem a long time for you and I, but for a Liverpool player itā€™s a age, especially when you donā€™t have much time for R&R and the recharging of batteries, and this intensity we train and operate at, takes its toll like we have all been witnessing,

hindsight is easy isnā€™t it, but Iā€™m looking at our assault on four fronts last season as the final Hurrah for these particular mentality monsters,
That in itself may have had a detrimental effect on some, if not most, then add the short pre-season we had, and then of course the start of yet another gruelling 60+ game season, with a three week sabbatical breaking up a already challenging season, yes it was the same for the other 19 but the other 19 donā€™t play as we do, and they might or might not have a ageing midfield with the added long term injury woes,

Am I looking for excuses as to how f***in sh*t weā€™ve been of late, f***in right I am, cos what else is there, we have to attach blame somewhere or to someone, how else do we move on, we can always do what others do and sack manager upon manager and hope everything is rosy after a month, yeah right, changing managers is Gonna work, thatā€™s like having new pants on , your still gonna fart and youā€™ll still get a itchy hole, and youā€™ll still need to scratch it in the middle of the check out queue at Tesco.

Ranting on I know, but basically itā€™s simple, we are in transition and until things settle down, there probably will be more crap to deal with on the way, but just remind yourselves of where Arsenal were not so long ago, and you might just might see some encouraging signs we will do similar!!

Like you billy some folk really have short memories.

Sh1t happens, peaks and troughs and all that.

Yesterday was just crap defending and actually well played Brentford, brilliant from them.

Also were still struggling with some serious players being out injured, seems to be just one of those seasons.

Personally not gonna lose a minutes sleep over it, we been spoilt for years, I can take a blip now and again.
