We are not a well run club lately. Key staff leaving for an unknown reason, owners want to sell the club yet no one interested it seems where United are attracting a lot of offers, poor planing to ignore a player for the whole summer then trying to buy him after he moved to another club. We are laughing stock right now and we deserve to be.

Like you billy some folk really have short memories.

Sh1t happens, peaks and troughs and all that.

Yesterday was just crap defending and actually well played Brentford, brilliant from them.

Also were still struggling with some serious players being out injured, seems to be just one of those seasons.

Personally not gonna lose a minutes sleep over it, we been spoilt for years, I can take a blip now and again.

Spot on Brezi mate, I think the new modern ā€˜fanā€™ if you can call them that, expect instant glory, they see the likes of City become what they are and expect their own club to follow suit, but it canā€™t obviously, we seen and enjoyed our time in the spotlight and we will so again, but we have to rebuild what we need, whilst others just buy what they need, Simples as that !!

We felt the loss of our skipper, Henderson is underrated. Not for his above average talent but what he gives to the team.

      His leadership skills are impeccable.

This is isn't about City. This is about the fact that we got overtaken by the likes of: Arsenal, United, Newcastle this season.

What the actual F**k are on about, what is it fella, we temporarily stop being easy on the eye and now your sharpening the knives, and why are we a laughing stock ?

F**k me, we are allowed to be sh*te now and again yannoā€™s, winning is never guaranteed nor is success, itā€™s the shitty times you remember when the the garden is all fuckn rosy, this is one of them, we do this from time to time, itā€™s not the first time and it certainly wonā€™t be our last, so before you go all f***in suicidal and reach for the horse tranquilliser try embracing it as what it is,

This what Real supporters do, accept weā€™re not as fluid or as pleasing as we were and things need to change, have to change or we stagnate, it takes time, lots of it so F F S just accept and we move on, and who one day we might just be better than what we are now.

And they all have new managers with new systems and are obviously making the most of that, meanwhile back at Anfield we have a older tired system that has probably ran its course as too has some of those who made it happen, ask yourself numb nuts where those three were when we were collecting EPL titles & CL Titles, could it be that they were ā€˜ rebuildingā€™ and possibly in transition, unable to pass wind never mind a ball ??

Iā€™m sick of the LFC journos saying ā€œFSG are open to a partial sale, full sale or just small investmentā€ they need to decide what the F**k up they want. Are they here to stay or leave ? It's very unsettling to the manager, players and future players having an unknown outcome. Secondly for a team that Champions league football is very crucial for our success, we cannot afford to be sh*te or miss out on top 4, and finally  people don't want to go back to the Rodgers days and having our best players leave due to the lack of ambition, so yeah their fear is very warranted.

Is the rodgers days as far back as you remember ?

We were pretty sh*te before him for many years, practically won fek all in the 90s. Not allowed to play in Europe late 80s.

      They were tough times.

This is just a wee blip.

      Very true.

And If it wasn't for the injuries we have had this season we would be in and around the top 4 no problems.

I still think we will get top 4, the only proper consistent teams in the league are city and the Arse, the rest are all beating each other.

Heck, even with the injuries we should still be top 4, but our best players have been inconsistent and often times flat out sh*t. You look at the team that played yesterday and it's not that one that should lose to a team like Brentford. That is on them.

And a team like Newcastle is punching way above their weight thanks to Howe, not because they're suddenly bought all this high quality players.

      Agreed.

We defo underperformed last night and Brentford played brilliant, that happens to any team.

We are just very inconsistent this season for various reason, mostly injuries.

Newcastle have doing superb, but a few injuries to key players and they will slip up.

Salah needs to wake up, as much as most are talking about Nunez missing goals, Salah is way below par on dribbles, runs, and shots on target....

Pretty much a mixture of everything for me has contributed to the poor season compared to last. Injuries, lack.of investment , team selection , form of key players find it all very odd that some just single out one reason only

We have underperformed most of the season mate you forgotten we lost to Leeds and Forest.

The form this season is more than simply injuries. For some reason we  have our full backs playing as inverted fullbacks esp Trent and our midfielders spread across the pitch leaving a hole the size of the Milky Way through the middle of the pitch which means a simple pass from the opposition and they are into our defenders.

The system that Klopp/Lijinders are trying to play is either unworkable with this group of players or from the looks of it the players donā€™t believe in it.
They went way to the Dubai break and honed into what was previously not working a clear sign of insanity.

A team comes at us? Embarrassed.
A team parks the bus? Struggle.
A team is from outside England? Impress.

Most of that has been caused by the injuries, trying to find solutions and all that.

At end of the day its basically pish just now, it will get better at some point.

Most striking to me is how slow LFC are. Elliot and Thiago are wonderful with the ball but incapable of keeping pace defensively while VvD has been losing footraces for a year and a half now. Trent is another who gets beat too often.
Then there is the spacing of the back line. Given the frequency that attackers slice through the back line, it almost seems Klopp has his back 4 (and truthfully back 3 with TAA more often than not on the front foot) playing a zone defense vs marking opponents. TAA often appears defending empty space and left wings have an open door to goal.
And don't get me started on Fabinho who is a shell of his former self. He moves like a 39 yr old, not a 29 yr old, and brings zero creativity or ambition.
The team got slow very quickly.

      More delusional sh*te,

What the F**k has it got to do with the journoā€™s, LFC ones or otherwise, they know as much about it as you or I do, most the sh*te they come up with is nothing more than click bait for the most part or dick swinging for others,

FSG have said that they seek further investment, thatā€™s exactly what they want, what we can garner from that is that they themselves do not have the collateral to back JĆ¼rgen for the amount it will take for us to keep up with the Jonesā€™s,

And if a group or a partner comes along and has enough financial clout to buy FSG out then they would consider doing exactly that, but first & foremost they want to remain as principal owners but will sell a % to allow investors to buy into the club and use their investment for player transfers,

Now we can all argue till weā€™re blue in the face whether FSG should dig deeper themselves but we all know thatā€™s a complete waste of time cos they would have done so by now if they were, same as no point in chucking our gums over whether thatā€™s right or wrong, cos they told us all at the very outset that they will not be using any of their own and theyā€™ve stuck to that mantra wholeheartedly,

Itā€™s not upsetting for the players or indeed JĆ¼rgen because they know exactly what the state of affairs are and keep pitch side business separate from the politics in the boardroom, whatever happens it will be to the advantage of LFC, I donā€™t have any issues with FSG, in fact I think they have been very sound owners and have done what they set out to do, we are indeed in a much healthier position from when they first came in, built two extensions and upgraded our home, built a brand new shiny state of the art Academy and weā€™re already seeing the fruits of labour emerging from there already,

Hope this clears a few things up for you pal !!

It's not about buying success, it's now about getting in the quality replacements we need to continue to match City.

The squad's fu**ed through their own relentless mentality, unfortunately whereas City can rest players, knowing they have just as good players to replace those that are tiring.

      We are sadly lacking there.

Gone a bit toxic on here, weā€™re all feeling gutted, especially since we were on a little run that has sadly now come to an end (performances have gone back to early season form unfortunately).

Iā€™m not sure what Klopp can do at this point - I donā€™t think even he knows exactly what to do.

Itā€™s a pretty bad situation considering the teams weā€™ve actually lost to. Thereā€™s a few more nights like that coming up in the season too - Iā€™m managing my expectations and think we will finish 6th or 7th with no trophies.
