Sky reporting that Bayern are in for him as well now.

Not sure they’d have the money after Kane. If they do they can sell us Kimmich yes please!

      That's if Kane goes mate.

I think he'd be a fool not to but that's not my choice.

Them declaring their interest in Caicedo might just be a case of them putting it out if there Kane doesn't go.

Kimmich is the one I really want, anyways..... Let Bajetic learn under him and give us that big time experience that we're lacking since Fab left l.

I assume everyone sees through this right? We aren’t going to bid anywhere near what Brighton want but it makes it look like we were ambitious because we are showing interest.

Courtois has ruptured his ACL. Real looking for a new goalie.....
Ah so that's where the extra money for Caicedo has come from.

Gotta admit they got me excited for 1 hour but now I see the bigger picture. It is obviously a smoke screen not sign anyone similar to Tchou last summer.

We can’t even cough out £50m what makes us think we will stump up £80m?

We’re just like someone pretending to go for a tackle before pulling back at the crucial moment which results in us not winning the challenge. But we did make an effort. So we’ll done even if we come away with nothing.

The club must think its supporters are thick as f*ck if they think we are falling for this.

But it's making us look even more silly in a complete shambles of a summer window.

We've no ambition. If West ham get their deals through only Luton will have bought less players than us.

What a f*cking rebuild this has been. Will go down in folklore.

Brighton wants something near the 100M mark and we probably value him at 15M + a coupon for a McDonalds meal at a Brighton location. If they extend the window by a month for us we should get to a point in the negotiation, around the last week of September, where we are Supersizing the meal as a final bid.

At this point, I'd much rather we're actually not interested in this guy because two reasons. First, we're never going to pay the money that Brighton is asking for so please stop bullshitting us. Second, we spent all summer reading journos who are close to the club saying that Caicedo is not part of our plans and that he's not a target so it would just be a confirmation of the complete headless chicken of a transfer strategy and management at the club right now (which I guess I'm still clinging on to a small hope it isn't this bad).

One hundred percent a smoke screen to keeps fans happy

We are most likely not buying anyone else and the 50m of sales will be used to repay fsg for the loan as they are looking for an exit soon

What an absolute sht show if a rebuild this has been

They done this a lot in the early years. Knew the price of a well known player and bidded less. They're desperate to keep us happy as they know there's no no.6 coming and possibly , I say possibly, Thiago leaving. So they've pulled out an old trick

You have to ask yourself whey we've apparently become interested in a player that we should have already been interested in all summer, but weren't, 3 days before we play the team that he's likely going to sign for. I mean that doesn't look like shenanigans at all.

Doesn't look like he wants to go mate. Spurs accepted the bid but he's happy to stay put - which begs the question why won't he sign a new deal?

And what that also does is leaves Bayern with the hundred mill they were spending on him to go throw at Caicedo instead.
