Might sour the relationship between us and then.

If we've been told the deadline was last night and we were the highest bidders then they're still F***ing about waiting for more makes me think well F**k Brighton in the future as well.

They're doing what any small club would do. The player's saying I'm not leaving for the one you accepted so they're faced with keep him or accept the other offer. It's nothing bad against them. The finger pointing should be at us not them

Might be cutting our noses off to spite our face, but I wouldn’t touch Brighton with the longest barge pole in the World, stuff ‘em. Hope they get relegated!

if a deal is "agreed" what does it mean legally in the framework of the EPL are we likely to take action against Brighton for backing out regardless of the players desire . Just move away now and try to move on ASAP. It needs to be confirmed as a deal or admit its over.

      Brighton did not back down.

      The player wants Chelsea.

As far as Brighton is concerned they accepted LFC's bid and if Chelsea meet that bid then it is up to the player.

I'm of that opinion as well.

We've acted in good faith and it seems like they, as much as the player himself, are allowing this to drag out. Tell Chelsea tough sh*t, you lost the "auction" (what a horrible way of phrasing things by the way) and then tell Caicedo that you either go to Liverpool or you stay put. I bet if those options were presented to him, he'd be very open to a move to us.

If they are ok with us spending 110m on a player Klopp wants, I have no qualms. My diatribe is aimed at whoever is moving the levers and pushing the buttons on how this has all played out because it's a major cock up in my eyes.

This £110m supposed bid is bollox - if the club are unwilling to raise a bid by £4 - 5m for a player who would go a long way in solving our midfield quandary and wants to play here, the sum mentioned for a player who wants to play for another club is altogether ridiculous.

Going how transfers regarding us and Chelsea are going at the minute, don't be surprised mate if we do throw a bid in for him now that Chelsea have fu**ed that one up as well.

I think he looked alright at Leeds, not sure what he was like before going there. For 20 million, in today's market, it's probably worth a punt - especially for another full international who is versatile to cover a couple of spots in the team. A Milner like replacement almost.

I was surprised we weren't in for Sander Berge given how cheap he went for and we had linked with him previously.

Big fan of Adams. He's a tidy player who could definitely serve a purpose here as a backup/squad player. Chases every tackle and breaks up play. Not good enough to be a starter on this team but definitely good enough to be a valuable squad player on a contending team. I imagine his wages are also minor.

Chelsea also looking like a scummy team.

I don't think anything was suggested otherwise.

CT said that Adams isn't good enough to be a starter, whereas it's considered that Caicedo turns us into title contenders again. But as a squad player, CT believes that Adams could be a handy addition.
