Same midfield. Insane. Same formation. Insane. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
      Doak for me.

Same midfield and formation is just asking for trouble again. Not optimistic at all.

I would prefer Doak for the last20 minutes than starting him.

The manager is not going to throw Doak in to start a Prem game this early in his career

He has had around 10 mins Prem action so far

Nobody has started until their first start.

But the lineup is picked, so now I support the team. It would be a big boost if Ox could get back to something of his form from a few years ago., starting with being a force in the press.

Feels like a change to something like 1-4-2-3-1 should be considered when/if all the forwards get back to fitness.

      Guessing that’s a 4-2-3-1 ?

It’s who would play in the middle of the three ?

Two sitting - Henderson and Fabinho or Thiago and Fabinho

      Three in front of

      Diaz
      Bobby
      Mo

      Then Nunez up high

If we don't win then goodbye top 4 no way we are catching United now with 10 points ahead of us.

You may be on to a true football innovation with the 1-2-3-1.  :)

Although we may have actually played the equivalent of a 1-2-3-1 a few times this season.  :(

Home just in time from a stressful work day, time to get comfy and prepare to be completely stressed and frustrated some more for 90+ mins willingly…

Looks like the same formation and going back to Ox in the front three rather than trying something different.

      Just baffling.

It's just insane. Carry on with what has failed all season because we can't find or think of any other way to play. What have we done in training all week?

They will walk through that midfield today. Better hope they are wasteful infront of goal, Ali has a stormer, we get a few decisions and Mo has his shooting boots on.

      Soon find out eh.

I wanted to see Keita. We played the same midfield against Wolves and we were poor.

Really sucks that Nunez is out. Unsure whether it will be Ox or Gakpo down the middle.

This is a good chance to get a look at Caicedo. I rate Mitoma as well.

Should be a tough game. I’m not very confident tbh, but Brighton don’t have a top ST and their defence isn’t impenetrable. We need to try and come away with three points here, especially if United hold on and win.

Think Gakpo will start on the left with the Ox in the middle. He's not Bobby and is not a natural striker. Not ideal is it.

Fair enough mate. But for me If chamberlain could offer more I'd agree. I think doak , at 17 would give us more than Ox sadly. So I'd have give him 65 minutes or so. Give them something to worry about ... something unknown. They know exactly what chamberlain can or more realistically can't do.

I would quite like Carvalho to come on as the 10 today. (for example)
That would work as a 1-4-2-3-1

Well yes we could all put stuff like that out..then if we get beat, claim 'I told you so'. I'd rather look to the positive and expect the team to perform to the best of their ability.

He has done well in some games but seems to have disappeared after his last start

Still can't  understand how OX starts over Carvalho,  why did we sign him?

      Hoping for the best

Looks like the only team we can catch for Top4 is Newcastle now. What a sh*t season.

Cant change the past so Start the turnaround with a win today

This is a team in transition. Very very messy.
