Last night ... allbeit against a toothless wolves, was certainly a step in the right direction. There was alot of positives to take from the game and hopefully carry into this one.

I'm torn between our 433 and 4231 for this game. Chelsea have quite abit of pace in their ranks.

                                     Alisson

      Milner         Gomez           konate     Robertson

                         Thiago            Bajcetic
                                       Keita

              Salah              Nunez              Gapko

Providing Nunez is fit. Harsh on Harvey but great to have from the bench.

      Kellerher
      Matip
      Tsimikas
      Trent
      Fabinho
      Henderson
      Elliott
      Jones
      Doak

Which means I'm struggling to find a place on the bench for Fabio let alone Chamberlain. Imagine when Bob, Diaz, Jota come back.

The big decisions will be obviously about the midfield. Bajcetic threw his hat into the ring and he is now a serious consideration. Q. mark over Thiago's work rate. Fancy dan on the ball, sees a pass but he's losing a bit of mobility.

Fabinho is a genuine holding player. It's his job to put out fires etc but his mobility has dropped off as well. Hendo still a willing runner but just starting to go a bit. But it's not a given that Klopp will put Bajcetic in. One good performance against a poor Wolves team might not put him in front of the usual suspects. Also there is Milly. Put in an impressive 60 mins or so.

Whoever gets the nod has to win the ball and release the pace boys quicker.  Build up as well need to quicken up. The skill players can't get the drop on anybody if the defense dwell on the ball.

Would like to see these two start together and Bajetic but highly doubtful . Hendo will come in for sure and probably Fab

Pretty much exactly how I'd go.

If no Nunez then Salah in the middle with Elliott left.

Important game with both sides struggling to find any real form, through injuries. A must win game for the Reds to further boost morale, After last night's improved performance against Wolves.

Probably the biggest question for Jürgen as he chooses his XI is whether or not to include Mohammed Salah. I mean a few months ago I would have thought he was maybe the first name on the team sheet, but if form has anything to do with selection (rather than reputation, contracts, etc.), Mo has to be a serious doubt.

Sure the availability of others, including whether Nunez the havoc-wreaker can go from the start, will be a part of the decision, but Mo is overdue to have a really good game for us.

Lot of shouts for Milner to start at RB. Kind of crazy..... but not that crazy. Still get a smile on my face each time I think of him pocketing Citys village idiot imbecile with the silly haircut.  I don't hate the ide, but I assume TAA starts

      NB: Team no longer available

I would insert Henderson to the XI for his experience and also to guide Bajcetic through the match. Keita will defiantly be introduced at around 60th minute.

      Come on Reds.

Trent with milner in front. But I reckon he will go back to Hendo for that position.

Id defo like to keep Elliott up front, move Salah central or left if Nunez is fit.

Bajcetic keeps his place too I reckon, 60mins with Fab a 30min sub.

All these guys that have been overplayed for 12 months or so need to be given a break, let the younger guys do the heavy lifting for a while.

Once we have all of the front lads fit & firing, Im sure Salah could be rotated more. Man needs a break. Right now as Ive noted above maybe just move him about a bit.

So looking ahead to Chelsea. Think they’ve got as many injuries as us, and their new signing is suspended. They’re also not doing as well as expected. Piss poor in fact.
Not sure if they will currently offer more than wolves did. So unsure on how many youngsters we could use.
Think we may need to resort to a few more ‘top players’
for this at least  least to start, then haul them off if they can’t up their game. And I say top players reservedly.
Think we should win it, and maybe the crowd can help, but first of all we gotta give them something to cheer.
Think I’ll go for a brave 2:0 to the red men.
I hear Nunez will be fit, and if so, I’m sure he’ll create chance for himself or assists.

Sorry for the odd topic question but I managed to secure a ticket and my flight arrives approx 2hrs before KO. Anyone know of anywhere to store a small bag near Anfield as I’ll be heading straight out to the stadium form the airport. Thanks

Try Lime Street. Most Bus/Train stations have them from my experience. It's what we used in Bergamo a few years back. Storage locker at the Bus Station

Not really. Makes a big difference to have a player at right back who can actually defend. A player who supports his centre half ... who is always in position, is dogged and determined. Against city he was excellent and defensively we were as on it as we've been this season.

Put trent back in and we're back to the usual chaos ... his jogging back miles out of position and daydreaming for pretty much most of the game. Bar the odd pass I don't think trent offers much these days.

Milner shows it can be done ... as does Robbo on the other side. Trent needs to work harder .... he wouldn't be getting in if it were up to me. We can't be picking players based off name. Trent is a liability defensively and his attacking game doesn't make up for it currently.

If we're going to get out of this rut and find some solidity and a base to build from then milner currently plays right back for me. I'd love to see what Ramsay can do ... is he injured again? I'm not sure.
